Bo Jackson

Bo Jackson is the famous two sport professional athlete who played both football and baseball.  Bo was born November 30, 1962, in Bessemer, Alabama.  In college, Bo played both football and baseball at Auburn from 1982-85.

After college, he went on to play running back for the Los Angeles Raiders and baseball for the Kansas City Royals.  In the early 90's, Bo suffered a serious hip injury that ended his football career but he did manage to return to baseball until his retirement.

3.) Keeping a promise he made to his mother before she died, Jackson returned to Auburn University and graduated in December 1995 with a B.S. in family and child development.

4.) Bo earned his nickname when his brothers shortened the word "boar" - as in "wild boar."

5.) In his first appearance on ABC's "Monday Night Football", Jackson electrified a national TV audience by ripping off a 91-yard touchdown run and running over Brian Bosworth to score another touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks.

What tragic day it was for the world of sports when Bo was no longer able to play. What an unbelievable athlete this guy was. I will always remember him literally running Brian Bosworth over and subsequently ending his career. I think that was the reason why Bos quit playing, but I don't quite remember, it was so long ago, but I will remeber the running over.lol

The Bo Jackson Game Boy game pictured has some of the worst graphics I've ever seen in a game. Pitching a perfect game in the baseball game is also ridiculously easy. Just line the pitcher up on the far side of the mound and pitch a fastball to the opposite side of the plate. Strike every time, batter swings and misses every time. I won't blame Bo, though. You should mention that he's now a really good cook, among other things.
