Bob Marley

Bob Marley is the world's most widely know reggae musician. Born in Nine Miles, Jamaica, Robert Nesta Marley is one of the most influential musicians and activists of the second half of the 20th century. His most popular songs include "No Woman, No Cry", "Three Little Birds", "Redemption Song", and "One Love". Along with his band, The Wailers, Bob Marley was responsible for developing the ska genre and bringing the reggae genre out of Jamaica to the rest of the world. He died in 1981 and was buried at Nine Miles near his birthplace. He is survived by his wife, Rita, and 12 children including musicians Ziggy Marley and Damian Marley.
