Bobbi Gervais IS My "Other Mother"
I grew up with two Moms and one Dad. No, it wasn't one of those weird and wacky group marriage things you watch on late night TV. Bobbi lived with us and helped my Mom with the housework and with taking care of me and my two siblings after they came along. For the first 6 years of my life, I thought everybody had two moms.
Not that I called her "Mom" - she was and still is "Aunt Bobbi" or "Auntie Bob" to my brother and sister and myself.
Bobbi has been a guiding light to me my entire life. I realized some time ago that my outlook on life and much of my personality has been molded and shaped by my association with this wonderful lady.
What I'd like to share with the world about Bobbi Gervais is her story and her art.

Bobbi is a Red Hat Lady!
Aunt Bobbi and Uncle Gerry were married for 30 years
but Uncle Gerry passed away a few years back
So what would YOU do if the love of your life up and died after 30 years of marriage? What if you had just had your 70th birthday? What then?
Well, Bobbi is one unusual lady, let me tell you. Oh, she grieved, deeply and privately, and then from somewhere deep inside, she found the strength and courage to stand up and go on living. Always artistic, she got herself a little laptop computer, discovered the Paint Program, and started teaching herself how to make computer generated art.
She came and stayed with me for a couple of months this past summer, and we entered some of her projects into the fair. She took a first place ribbon for one of her pieces!
Below are some of my favorites out of her collection.
