Soil-based Organisms and Immune Function
An incredible new all-natural breakthrough in Immuno-therapy

**Editor's note: Most Americans have very little knowledge about the direct
relationship between their present state of health and the billions of
beneficial microorganisms that live in their intestinal tract-microorganisms
which keep the intestines clean by feeding on putrefaction and waste, fungi,
harmful bacteria, yeast, poisons and other nasty substances, while
simultaneously aiding the body in producing essential elements (such as
hormones, vitamins and proteins) needed for proper growth, immune function
and healing.

Microbial Imbalances and Disease
Clearly, the lacto-bacilli and hundreds of other species of beneficial
microorganisms inhabiting your intestines play a vital role in keeping your
body healthy and strong. Nonetheless, they live a precarious existence.
Their balance in your body can be completely disrupted by such common things
as a diet that's too high in sugar, or one that's too low in natural soured
milk products like yogurt, cottage cheese, whey, buttermilk, etc.

Worse yet, taking prescription anti-biotics can wipe out virtually every
beneficial microorganism in your body. That's because the antibiotics can't
distinguish between harmful bacteria and beneficial bacteria. They kill
virtually ALL bacteria, producing a condition commonly referred to as
"sterile gut."

Using Other Beneficial Microorganisms to Dramatically Improve Health
What most people don't realize, however, is that there are numerous other
beneficial microorganisms in existence which have been proven to
dramatically benefit the human body even though they are not native to the
human body's normal intestinal flora.

The Bacillus Subtilis Story
The bacillus subtilis was discovered by the German Army Medical Corps in
1941, toward the end of their African campaign. At the time, the German
military victory was at its height. But the German High Command became
genuinely alarmed when hundred upon hundreds of soldiers in North Africa
suddenly began dying every week. Oddly, the German soldiers weren't dying
because of British General Montgomery's retaliatory bombs and shrapnel, but
instead, they were dying of uncontrollable dysentery.

Bacillus subtils remains one of the most potent and beneficial of all
health-promoting and immune-stimulating bacteria. According to clinical
studies documented in the medical research report, Immunostimulation by
Bacillus Subtilis Preparations, by micro-biologist J. Harmann, the cell wall
components of ingested Bacillus Subtilis are able to activate nearly all
systems of the human immune defense, including the activation of at least
three specific anti-bodies (IgM, IgG and IgA secretion) which are highly
effective against many of the harmful viruses, fungi and bacterial pathogens
which regularly attempt to invade and infect the human system.

Action #1: Stimulation of the Body's Natural Alpha Interferon Production
Alpha-inteferon is a paramount polypeptide-a protein form molecule-that was
discovered in the human body in 1956 and has been proven to be a key
regulator of the human immune response. Since its discovery, it has been
universally acknowledged by science that the development of a widely useable
man-made form of alpha-interferon would embody profound hope for the cure of
many diseases in the future. Unfortunately, to date science has failed to
develop a form of alpha-interferon that could live up to the high
expectations held for it since its discovery in the human body.

Action #2: Stimulation of B-lymphocytes and Related Antibody Production
Instead, huge pools of these antibodies are produced as long as the SBO's
are ingested on a regular basis, and they are kept in reserve by the body
for use whenever needed by the immune system. If an actual infection takes
hold, or a specific pathogen invades the body, the immune system then
instantly-at a moment's notice "imprints" this large reservoir of otherwise
innocuous antibodies with the precise information needed to attack the
specific infection or pathogenic agent at hand. Then, quite rapidly and
with incredible effectiveness, this huge pool of antibodies goes to work
attacking the infection of pathogen at once, and wipes it out.

Action #3: Crucial Lactoferrin Supplementation to the Human Body
Unfortunately, lactoferrin levels are often not high enough in the human
body for a variety of reasons. As a consequence, many people have trouble
properly assimilating the iron they've ingested through the foods they eat.
And because their body is not assimilating iron properly, symptoms of iron
deficiency appear, even though plenty of iron is being ingested on a daily
basis.
One Final Editor's Note
The vast array of completely unique immune-boosting and health-promoting
benefits found in this product(BODY BIOTICS, formerly known as NATURE'S BIOTICS)
are, to our knowledge, unmatched by any other
development in orthomolecular medicine to date.

Body Biotics Probiotic Supplements

Probiotic Supplements: Natural Solution For Candida, IBS And Yeast Infections.

Probiotics are live, actual microorganisms that are thought to have health benefits for people, particularly for their digestive systems. They are said to promote balance in the intestines and to remove toxins from the body. Probiotics are a part of fermented foods such as milk and soy based yogurts. However, an increasingly popular method of consuming probiotics is to take what are known as probiotic supplements

Like probiotics which are naturally occurring and contained in foods, probiotic supplements promote a cleansing of the body's intestinal systems to help thwart the growth of harmful microorganisms such as Candida. These supplements come in capsule, powder, liquid, and tablet form. It is recommended to take probiotics on an empty stomach, from 20 minutes up to an hour before a meal, for maximum results. There are many pros to taking probiotics.

Various research studies have found links between ingesting probiotics and alleviating ailments such as chronic irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), stress, and Candida. To begin, an Irish study found that Bifidobacterium infantis was a probiotic that was very helpful with minimizing the effects of IBS. In fact, the dietary supplement was found to be just as effective if not more than the FDA-approved drugs on the market used to treat IBS, Zelnorm and Lotronex. Participants in the study ingested the probiotics in liquid form, and it was found that their symptoms of IBS lessened greatly due to their use of probiotic supplements.

It should be noted that another probiotic, Lactobacillus salivarius, was also tested for its effects on IBS, and it was found to not be helpful in treating the condition. With this said, it is important to note that different types of probiotics are available, and what may help one condition may not necessarily aid another.

In addition to IBS, probiotics were also found to be effective in treating gastrointestinal symptoms associated with stress. The probiotic used in the study was meant to survive the effects of gastric acid, which tends to destroy healthy bacteria like probiotics before they even have a chance to be effective. Lactobacillus acidophilus was used in this probiotic, and half of the study participants did report a near 50% decrease in symptoms of stress like nausea and pain in the abdominal area.

Probiotic supplements have also been proven to be effective with treating the ill effects of Candida, the harmful microorganism associated with yeast infections. Probiotic acidophilus supplements are recommended for this purpose. Such supplements replenish micro flora in the bowel which has the potential to be destroyed, for example, by antibiotics and vaginal creams. The beneficial supplements use up nutrients that would otherwise be ingested by harmful microorganisms.

While there are many discussed pros of using probiotic supplements, the industry surrounding them has had its share of criticism as well. Some say that as the probiotics in fermented foods such as yogurts are live and tend to be nearly as effective probiotics supplements when it comes to cleansing the intestinal system. Furthermore, many of the probiotic supplements can not survive the harshness of acid in the stomach. On top of all this, probiotic supplements could be somewhat expensive if used frequently. Please choose wisely.

Overall, there are a number of benefits to using probiotic supplements, and it has been confirmed that they do have overall positive effects on alleviating symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), stress, and Candida. For all of the positive aspects of these supplements, however, criticism surrounding them has focused on probiotics in some foods working as well as those in supplement form, due to their life span in certain conditions. Body Biotics SBO's being an exception as these feed off of the pyto plankton substrate while in suspension. They do not need refrigeration as do most probiotics and are very resilient in harsh conditions.
