Believe it or not, it's usually simple to tell if something is nonsense. You should also understand that there are proven methods for getting big through a sensible bodybuilding workout program that focuses on burning fat and building muscle mass. Further, it can be done in a way that's healthy and sane.

Myth #3: Keep Your Body Guessing

Frankly, this myth is ridiculous. If you do this, stop (and shame on you for falling for it). There are people who have said you can surprise your muscles into building mass. For example, if you only work your legs on Mondays, switch it up one week and work them on Wednesday and Friday. By keeping your muscles guessing, the theory is that they'll respond by instantly going to work. That's utter nonsense. Your muscles aren't schoolchildren<. There's no tricking them into action. They know movement. That's all. Let's not spend any more time on this myth. Again, if you do this, stop.

Myth #4: Big Mass Comes From Weightlifting

This isn't necessarily false as much as simplistic and misleading (which can be just as bad). Many beginners have the notion that if they lift a lot of weights, they'll build mass quickly. It's not that simple. Yes, of course, your bodybuilding workout program should include weights. That's common sense. But, muscle mass isn't the direct result of weightlifting. Mass comes from consuming complex carbohydrates, eating foods (and taking supplements) with plenty of protein and allowing your muscles to recuperate after working out.
