Bonnaroo- It's Here Again for 2008

It is looking to be another jam-packed show with fans having to run from one stage to another trying to catch all of their favorite shows. As a veteran Bonnaroo junkie, I feel that it is my obligation to let some of you in on the secret to a successful and memorable experience...no need to says thanks, just enjoy the show!

Bonnaroo 2008 Update:
What a great weekend in Tennessee. Other that a little rain on Friday night.(Well a couple hour downpour) The weather the rest of the weekend was outstanding. It seemed as if each act tried to outperform the other. Maybe the best act of the entire weekend was Pearl Jam. They played an hour over there alotted time. One amazing show.

Top Things To an Amazing Festival

*First and most importantly, the weather in Tennessee during early June can be quite unpredictable so we need to be prepared for it all. It could end up being a mudfest or a sweltering mess. Think about bringing multiple supplies for either extreme heat or torrential downpour. Think ahead!
  1. WATER (works best for when it is hot and you
don't want to get dehydrated and miss a show
because you are stuck in the medic tent.)
  2. FOOD/SNACKS (depending on how much gear you plan
to bring, pack accordingly. If you want to go
all out (I do), stock the coolers full of items
that take longer to spoil. Cook the stuff that
needs to stay cold on the first day. They do
sell ice but it is usually quite a hike back to
your site. PB & J is always a favorite choice.
Packaged foods also are great and easy to grab on
the go. Snacks are a MUST because we all get the
munchies randomly throughout the day. *You are
permitted to bring unopened food items/water into
    the venue.
  3. BEVERAGES (I will keep this short because we all
know what types of beverages we enjoy drinking.
Whether it is alcoholic or not, make sure you are
not bringing any GLASS containers...they will
confiscate them at the gate...I repeat, they WILL
confiscate them. And if I must restate the
obvious, bring lots of WATER...more than you
think you will need is a good guess.
  4. CAMPING SUPPLIES (I will leave this somewhat
general and you can judge what you need the most.
    1. A tent (I don't recommend sleeping in a
screened gazebo thingy in case of rain. Also
have the tent supplies: tarp, string/bungee
cords, stakes, a hammer/mallet, air mattress,
    blankets, etc.
    2. Flashlight, sun coverage (a tarp, gazebo
    tent), portable radio, chairs, table
    3. A grill (this is a must...it even provides
    entertainment)
    4. Camera/videocamera (you will want to document
    this event)
    5. Backpack, blanket for inside the venue (this
works for all of your concert supplies:
camera, money, smokes, snacks, extra clothes)
    6. Comfortable shoes (something water-proof is
best. Think galoshes or Crocs. You could end
up with sunburned feet or muddy ones)
  5. THE WATER BOTTLE (I mean like a squirt bottle
that you would use for watering plants or a
misting bottle...this has always been a key
component of a happy Bonnaroo. It may sound
silly but you will be grateful once it is
sweltering hot and you need to cool off. *It
also can make you feel less dingy after not
    showering for 3 days.
