Without expanding further on the issues with the game engine itself, I'd first like to get a couple of matters out of the way. The update ads new characters and new features. This makes the game much more interesting than I had expected, and further, it creates a good sense of originality. These shambling, staggering, crawling bastards look like outstanding field gun fodder, and I've got clearly the toolset for dealing with them - level 39 incendiary revolver and a level 37 shock SMG with a 10.9 fire rate. What we are thinking about the negative approach to cutting corners doesn't hack it. Ought to be like feeding mannequins into a woodchipper. Oh, wait a minute, they've got new wereskags in this, don't they ... This does not have the feel of a writing mistake per se, even though I can't stand them, but as might be said about the production value as a whole is still here and amazing for the short turnaround on a DLC addon.

So now that Gearbox is content to announce that the Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, the first in a succession of downloadable content for Borderlands, will be to be had for download for Xbox 360 and PS3 preliminary November 24, 2009 for 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99).
