Red Sox Nation
I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire. This meant three things: (1) I never learned how to pronounce any words that ended in "R", (2) I froze my butt off for the first fifteen years of my life, and (3) most importantly, I became a lifelong citizen of Red Sox Nation.
86 years of suffering
It hasn't always been easy to be a Red Sox fan. In my lifetime, I've been subjected to Bucky #$%$@#$ Dent in 1978, Bill Buckner in 1986 and Aaron Boone in 2003. Each time the Sox came close only to lose in dramatic fashion. Then 2004 came and the Red Sox turned the tables and won the World Series for the first time in 86 years, and just like that... 86 years doesn't seem like that long of a time. I hate the New York Yankees!

What do you get when you take $195 million in salary, 26 World Series titles, and the craziest owner in Major League Baseball? You have the distinction of being the most despised franchise in all of sports.

Bill Buckner ruined my childhood
-
I was 12 years old in 1986 when my childhood came to a abrupt halt. My parents were on the brink of divorce. (Yawn. Whose parents weren't?) I saw my seventh grade crush and first love, Jessica, pick her nose and eat it. (I knew she was too good to be...

Congrats on your recent World Series victory.
You have a really great lens- but I can't enjoy it fully as I am a fan of the Evil Empire. :)
Looks like you've got quite a team in Boston.
