WELCOME TO BOTTLE SHOCK!
"Bottle Shock" is a light-hearted lens for those who appreciate things like weird wine labels, chardonnay snobs and gripping grappa tales like "The Grapes of Wrath".

A MIRTHFUL MOVIE REVIEW FOR GRAPE GURUS
"Bottle Shock" is a highly-entertaining film for lovers of vintage vines, and those adore a bit of zany conflict between French wine snobs and sassy American upstarts. Not a "sour grapes" movie, it's sure to please those who need to know the real story behind how Napa Valley got on the Wine Map of the World.
Unlike the another film about french wine tasting, "Bottle Shock" is not based on any book, but was a project commissioned by Jim and Bo Barrett, who own the Napa wine property, better known as Chateau Montelena.
So if you need a bit of boost juice to go along with your fishy and french fries...give this one a thumbs up!

WITTY WINE QUOTES
When it comes to the venerable vine, there's always plenty of pithy prose to accompany every sip."Wine and wenches empty men's purses."" -- English Proverb
"It is well to remember that there are five reasons for drinking: the arrival of a friend; one's present or future thirst; the excellence of the wine; or any other reason." -- Latin Proverb
"The best use of bad wine is to drive away poor relations." -- French Proverb
And for those with a more refined sense of pith and vinegar, here are a few more:
"My dear girl, there are some things that just aren't done, such as drinking Dom Perignon '53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. That's just as bad as listening to the Beatles without earmuffs!" -- James Bond in "Goldfinger", 1964)
"Ah. Fortune smiles. Another day of wine and roses. Or, in your case, beer and pizza!" -- Two-Face in "Batman Forever" (1995)
"I never drink wine." -- Count Dracula in "Dracula", (1931)
"Oh, we could give it a try. I'll bring the wine, you bring your scarred psyche." --
Chase in "Batman Forever" (1995)
"What contemptible scoundrel stole the cork from my lunch?" -- Larson E. Whipsnade (W.C. Fields) in "You Can't Cheat an Honest Man", (1939)
