What are your best pages on your site? How can you determine top performing pages?
For marketing planning and decisions, the bounce is a web analytic metric that quickly reveals how well your page delivers the message. A visitor will click links while searching and surfing. The link they clicked to get to your page has significance to a bouncing visitor. If the link they clicked read "Fresh Granny Apples" and your page had "cars for sale" it would almost certainly have a high bounce rate. It is the easiest way to tell how well liked your pages are by visitors.
Is a High Bounce Rate Always Bad?
In most cases a high bounce rate is not good. An acceptation to the rule is a webpage that has the sole purpose of linking to pages on other websites. The bounce is defined as single-page visits where visitors leave your site on the same page they entered on. It is a great way to quickly assess activity when people visit your website.
