Bowflex Revolution Home Gym - Why My Bowflex Kicks Ass and How I lost 15lbs
"What if you could have that lean, healthy, muscular body that you can feel good about and be proud of?"
Sound familiar? Hah. That's what they say on the infomercial. Sadly, most home gyms are pure rip-off crap!
Bowflex has been making home gyms longer than anyone else - which got me interested in ordering one.
So, anyways, let me begin with my honest review of the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym.
Comparing The Different Models
I've tried all three out and have come to the sad but truthful conclusion that the FT just isn't worth it.
While they all pack a bunch of exercises the FT lacks a bench board for doing chest exercises, making it totally useless as total body exercise machine.
The Revolution is their top-of-the-line model. While it packs the most features of the three and incredible quality workouts, its steep price tag of $3,000 was beyond my budget.
This leaves us with the Revolution XP, a feature rich home gym thats several hundred dollars cheaper than their flagship Revolution yet still offers a lot of value and great workouts.
The Good and The Bad
Some Assembly Required
Assembling the Revolution XP takes about an hr, which, for some can be more than you bargained for. Fortunately, the instructions are clearly written and you'll need just a few simple tools like a screwdriver and a wrench. Most of the home gyms I've used are nothing more than cheap aluminum and lack the body support that comes with solid craftsmanship. Bowflex did a really good job when it comes to this. The spiraflex cable and pulleys feel strong and sturdy, just like a commercial cable machine.
I wasn't sure what to expect when it arrived. That's the problem alot of us face when we purchase exercise equipment.
I'll cut to the chase. The Revolution XP kicks ass - and for several reasons.
The Revolution XPwill provide you just as much resistance at the start of your exercises as it will at the top. This is one of the reason why this Bowflex KILLS other home gyms. Your muscles experience faster and more intense muscle stimulation - but with precision control.
Of course, there's no shortcuts when it comes to working out - you have to train hard. Well, at least now, you can train hard AND smart - and this is something I really love. I get amazing control with the power cables and can work on any bodypart I choose. Not eveyone needs 100 exercises - but it's nice to know you have them:)
Conclusion
The Bowflex Revolution XP
I bought the Bowflex Revolution XP because I wanted fast results and going to a gym was not an option. You probably want to know what you can expect. Well, my pics show the awesome transformation I went through. I consider myself an average guy so there is hope for us. I wasn't born with the best genetics and have struggled in the past to really get cut and pack on muscle. I've wasted money on supplements, fat burner pills, and the latest gimmicks. That's why I was initially skeptical about getting a home gym.
Training 3-4 x week, 45 mins per day, I was able to blast 15 lbs of fat and pack over 5lbs of muscle in just 6 weeks! Yes, this machine really works!
Although it has a few shortcomings, like the assembly time, I completely recommend the Bowflex Revolution XP. It's a powerful home gym that does what it says - to get you in the best shape!
Unlike alot of other homes gyms, it comes with a 6-week money back guarantee if you're not 100% satisfied. With that said, its a no-brainer.
