What is Bowflex?

Bowflex is a well known home gym that is designed to tone and increase musculature in one's body. It is designed specifically to be very user friendly with the capability to move quickly from one exercise to the next without changing cables for most models.

Bowflex has more than just one home gym. In fact, Bowflex has multiple products designed to meet your specific needs.

Product Information

Some of the products branded under the Bowflex name include the following:

Bowflex Ultimate. The Bowflex Ultimate is priced at $1899 and includes over 90 exercises with a standard weight resistance of 310 pounds. The preacher curl and no cable change are not included with this model. A ten year warranty is included, as is the Adjustable Main Pulley System.

Bowflex Ultimate2. This model is priced at $2299 and in addition to the Bowflex Ultimate, does include the preacher curl and no cable change design. As an option, one can also purchase the ab crunch accessory. This model has a 12 year warranty.

Bowflex Xtreme 2. The Bowflex Xtreme2 is priced at $1599. It has more than 70 exercises with a standard resistance weight of 210 pounds. The aerobic rowing, ab crunch accessory and preacher curl attachment are not included in this model. A 7 year limited warranty comes with this product.

Bowflex Xtreme SE. This model is priced at $1299. Similar to the Bowflex Xtreme 2 with a few exceptions. This model does not include the no cable change pulley system, has 60 exercises.

Bowflex Blaze. This model is built for those who wish quick home workouts without all the extras. The price is $899 and several additional accessories are not included. If you want a no frills, basic workout in your home, this model is for you. It does include a 5 year limited warranty.

Company Information

Bowflex is actually marketed and sold through the Nautilus name. The first Bowflex machines were sold in 1986. In 2002, Bowflex changed its official company name to Nautilus and is currently a public company traded on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2005, net sales were reported as 631 million dollars.

The Nautilus Corporation also markets and sells the Stairmaster, Schwinn fitness equipment and Nautilus products.

In summary, Bowflex has the home gym designed for you! These gyms are targeted towards multiple markets. If you just wish to keep your strength up as you get older, there is a Bowflex for you. If you wish to really bulk up and build muscles, Bowflex has a product for you.
