Why I Made This Lense

I am sad to report that Brad Renfro (1982-2008) has died on January 15, 2008 at the young age of 25. He was such a talented actor. I used to write him fan letters when I was a teenager (I'm 21 now.) I've seen many of his movies and he was so much more talented that many of the young actors/actresses out today, yet did he get much recognition for it? No. The world was too busy flapping their lips about Lohan, Hilton (I still don't know what her talent is!) and the rest. The people with real talent are often swept under the rug. It's not unusual to bring up his name, and people would say "who?" And they'd only remember when you listed some of his films. Terrible!



An autopsy is scheduled for January 18, 2008. The online news sources place an emphasis that the night before his death, he had been drinking with his friends. He has been struggling with drug addiction and has been working hard to stay clean. We can not assume anything though. Anything is possible. So let's wait until the report is out.

I read his obituary that you can find on the internet and apparently he had a son. That was a very well kept secret! He is listed as "Y Renfro." It's no longer a secret so I guess I can post it here. I DECIDED TO TAKE DOWN THE NAME OF HIS SON AND THE BOY'S MOTHER BECAUSE I REALIZE THAT IT MAY BE DISRESPECTFUL AND SORT OF DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF KEEPING IT A SECRET. I'M SORRY I POSTED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Well, I know It's none of my business but I'd like to send out my condolences to the Renfro family.

Also, the funeral is set for tonight at 8PM in Knoxville. So far they have not said anything about fans coming. I would be respectful and not show up. I think it is a private family event and we should all respect that.
