Brett Favre, one of the most respected Quarterbacks in the NFL
We seemed to have "Brett Favre Watch" after the last 3 NFL seasons and the last 2 seasons I was actually ready for a retirement decision. This year was another story; I never even questioned the fact of Favre coming back for one more.
All I have to say is "We'll miss you #4".
My husband is going to miss arguing with me about the advantages and disadvantages of having Favre on the field instead of someone else. I have a feeling that now we'll be arguing about what Favre would have done on 4th and inches when Rodgers is unable to convert.
Even though all of the above was written the day Brett Favre retired, I still believe that it all holds true today for many Green Bay Packers fans. I will still enjoy watching him play this year unless the Jets and the Pack meet in the Super Bowl.
Aaron Rodgers, I feel bad for you. Those shoes will be very hard to fill.

Reasons to love Brett Favre
2 - He's still a kid at heart. We should all take a lesson from him and take some time to act like a kid again.
3 - He's great looking; kind of a like a fine wine that gets better with age.
4 - He now owns the all time wins as a starting QB record at 157 and growing.
5 - He's like the Ironman of the NFL with 249 consecutive games started; the most for a Quarterback. He is second only to Jim Marshall, the Vikings Defensive End who has 270 consecutive career starts.
6 - No one in the history of the NFL has thrown more touchdown passes; he has 438 and counting (12/10/2007).
7 - As of 12/10/2007 he is only one of two quarterbacks to throw for more than 60,000 yards in a career. As of 12/10 his total is 61,178 and counting. He'll need 183 more passing yards by the end of this season if he's going to break Dan Marino's record of 61,361. Watch for Favre to possibly own this record by the end of the week.
7 - He never gives up. No matter how far the team is down, he'll keep trying. Of course, sometimes this is when he makes his poorest decisions which is why he also holds the all time interception record for a quarterback.
8 - He has FUN. Football is treated too much like a business now a days and it's extremely refreshing to see a player just go out and have fun while he's playing.
How do you feel about Favre playing for another team?
I think an even greater hush came over Packer Country when fans across the world learned that the Pack didn't want Favre back.
How do you feel about seeing Favre in colors other than green and gold?

You have one of the best QB's of all time that wants to come back and you're turning him down? I understand that you don't want to be held hostage by him any more, but make a deal with him; one more season and the Pack releases him. Any game with more than 3 interceptions; he's pulled.
I'm not sure what Aaron's problem is; I'd like to get paid money to sit back and watch Favre play all day.

Nice lens. I love NFL football since studying in the US. I remember him play for the packer back then. Unfortunately can't watch much NFL football since going back home. Anyhow well done with the lens and congratulation too for being the new Giant squid.

I like Brett Favre and am a Packer fan because of him. I was really bummed when the Packers 'gave' the game away on Sunday Night Football a few Sundays ago. 5*

I'm a Steelers fan (go Ben Roethlisberger) but certainly have to admire Brett Favre and enjoy watching him play. Besides, it's fun to watch the crazy cheeseheads in the stands.
