HERE'S WHAT I THINK

Dog the Bounty Hunter should be brought back to television.

Let me start by saying this: In no way to I advocate using racial epithets. However, the circumstances that led to Dwayne "Dog" Chapman's show being canceled is completely unfair and unwarranted.

Dog the Bounty Hunter was canceled after a private conversation with his son was obtained by the National Enquirer. In the conversation Dog uttered a racial slur while talking to his son in what he thought was a private dialogue between a father and a son. He was not using the term at anyone directly; he just said the word itself.

Who among us has not had a private conversation that we may not be proud of and that we could get in trouble at a job over? I think that we all have. But the private talk between the Dog and his son was just that, a PRIVATE conversation.

After the tape was released, Chapman made a heartfelt apology to the American public and I believe that he truly meant what he said. I believe that he handled the situation like a man. He took responsibility for what he said, and he apologized from the bottom of his heart.

The Dog does a lot of good work and sets a great example on turning your life around and second chances. His show being taken off of the air is not making society any better; it is only taking away a man and his message of second chances and forgiveness.

YOUR TURN!

Dog the Bounty Hunter should be brought back to television.

Yes, you're right!

Bonnie Hunt says:

Dog should be brought back because he teaches lessons thru everything he says and i dont think that he has dont much wrong.... everyone says something wrong and he shouldnt ahve his show taken off the air for it

will says:

he should be back asap cos we all love him and his family. he is only doing good for the world and hopefully many more people in the world will follow in his footsteps. love you dog and family, god bless.

dar says:

i heard that dog and beth are getting a divorce is that true

Jayne says:

I enjoyed the show very much. The man is only human with his son's best intrest at heart. I don't really think he was attacking the girl's color only her life style.

Ms. M says:

I loved that show and really miss it. I also relly miss seeing Leland he is so hot.

David Dyer says:

Bring back the Dog!

Julien says:

He is a holy man and a familly man. his son leaked a Private discussion. He is a good guy as much as you haters out there dont want to accept and dont hate the guy because of his religeous standings Religion is free to anyone who wants to practice you have yours and he has his and i have mine... AND YES I CLASSIFY ATHEISM as a religion because its YOUR BELIEF.

BigJim says:

I've never watched the show. But as with anything else like this the market should determine if the show stays or goes. Please stop with the whining and coersion.

Geraldine says:

Dog is the best, let the first one with sin cast the first stone...lol

BABYKITTY says:

We liked the show. He's an example of how a person can turn their life around and make this a better place to live. Never taped the show or anything but caught it at off hours.
I think I read that A&E had decided to bring him back next year--hope so!

Doug says:

I will not watch A&E untill they bring him back, I hope another network picks him up.

Joelle says:

Bring him back he isn't agaisnt any coulors of race if he was he wouldn't be bailing black people out he bailed every race out he is such a good guy and a hero took so many bad people off the streets bring him back!!!!!!

Jaimie from Ontario CANADA says:

I miss DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER.... I miss the shows - new and old... I am happy to say just before he was cut from tv I taped all of his shows onto my PVR... I love the rule that happens at home stays at home...thus meaning keep the family issues like that private... Dog, I know it wasn't you that leaked it...but I'm not fully happy with your son that leaked it... It was uncalled for and Grrrrrrrrrrr just upset's me... Dog talkes to ALL the criminals that either surrender or he goes and hunts down and talks to them about second chances.... if they did something bad ( drugs, theft, attempted murder, assult as per some of his shows ) and he can give them all another chance, WHY CAN'T THEY (A&E NETWORK) GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE...... ps...

Beth... Leland....Duane Lee....... Baby Lisa......Tim...... and the rest of the gang.... I wish YOU ALL WELL and I hope that ONE OF THE TV STATIONS will pick you back up again... I can't wait to see some new shows... ps... a ticket to see you in person would be great unless you and the gang do a trip to the area of TORONTO or OTTAWA ONTARIO.. that's a few hrs drive for me but well worth it to meet you all in person... I think you have a gift Dog, and you bring a lot of heart into things that you do.

Angela says:

Dog and his family are all hero's. Take a look at how many lives they have saved by helping people who have lost control of themselfs ! I myself enjoy watching a reality program that show's their are still people in this world that care. Everybody makes mistakes and some bigger then others but it takes a real man to admit his wrong doing. Dog should never have been taken off air.

tammy says:

bring the dog back we need him to protect us from all the bad people out there BRING THE DOG BACK NOW!!!!!!

d-artist says:

Interesting how people have such negative feelings about someone they don't even know...Dog might not be your kind of person in style or looks(prejudice?), but does that give anyone a right to judge him and be so mean? I have a hard time with judgmental people, they are either jealous or ignorant...that's just my opinion.

Let him prove himself on this show, he made a mistake by his choice of words, can any of us say we have never done that? You don't know his heart, only God does, and He is the one in control, it will be His judgment...so what ever you say negatively about Dog, only makes YOU feel good.

Miss Dusty says:

Howzit Sista...from the mainland of British Columbia and big Aloha and mahalo for your Brave Heart and Family Values.

Beth my girl It's your turn to Go After the bad Guys....get back on TV where todays youth can get re-aligned with God principles...you Rock Sista ...come see us in Vancouver...604 252-2690 for Complimentary accomodations for You & Dogster.

Luke Nadin says:

so what if he said something racial everyone does at some point of there lives. im not religous but by watching his show ive learned alot and Dwayne "Dog" Chapman has become one of my idles so give him a second chance like he does with all these others and bring him back. HE'S THE MAN

Krista says:

Dog didnt deserve this. Personal business is not of anyones concern. BRING HIM BACK TO TV!!!!!!

miss his shows to much, he does so much good and look what they do to him.

ALYSSA says:

He Should deffinally be brought back it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO unfair! EVERYONE makes mistakes! Plus that was my ABSOLUTE fav show!!! BRING BACK THE DOG! BRING BACK THE DOG!

No way, Monkeybrain!

DOGISABUM says:

DOG AND FAMILY HAVE ONLY SUCCEEDED TO EVEN FURTHER DENIGRATE TRASH TV. HE'S A BIGOT AND A CON WHO SAW AN IN OPPORTUNITY IN EXPLOITING LOWER CLASS PEOPLE WHO CANNOT AFFORD BAIL, HAVE INADEQUATE LEGAL REPRESENTATION, AND DRUG ADDICTIONS THAT MAKE THEM MORE LIKELY TO REMAIN STUCK IN THE COURT SYSTEM OR DOOMED TO RETURN. HIS SHOW IS PURELY ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE CREDULOUS FOLKS AND ENORMOUS WHITE CHRISTIAN POPULATION OF PEOPLE WHO ENJOY SEEING OTHERS IN MISERY. THIS GUY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE LAW ENFORCEMENT OF ANY KIND. I MUST ADD THAT BRINGING A RELIGIOUS BIGOT ON FOX TO DEFEND HIM IN HIS OUTRIGHT DENIAL OF ETHNIC BIGOTRY IS HIGHLY AMUSING BUT AT THE SAME TIME EXTREMELY SAD AND PATHETIC THAT SO MANY CANNOT SEE THROUGH THAT BUT ONLY CONTINUE TO SUFFER SUCH FOOLS. THE GUY KNOWS HIS AUDIENCE IS DUMBED DOWN AND A&E ONLY PROVES THAT BY HAVING HIM BACK.

thesnodgrass says:

I always found him to be a bit creepy on the show, especially the overt Christian stuff. He is not missed.

rms says:

Sorry but I wasn't fond of the show.

GypsyPirate says:

I don't want to see him back, but not because of the trouble he stirred up for himself. But, because his type of show isn't what I think of as entertainment.

Dog's a good guy. You've got to be tough to be a bounty hunter and some of that toughness spills over to his language. He needs to clean up his vocabulary if he truly wants to be seen as a man of God. Words matter and constant use of profanities degrades language and behavior. The kids look up to him so he needs to take responsibility for his language.

What they heck! There is a dog rerun on A&E right now! I can't wait for new episodes!

I agree that the Dog should come back. He is such a great example of how people can change to do good no matter how much trouble they get themselves into. Change is possible for anyone.
