Few wrestlers of yesterday or today hold more intrigue than Kendo Nagasaki. How do the wrestlers of yesterday compare with the wrestlers of today?
The world of wrestling has changed dramatically in recent years. The high intensity style of the WWE means that very few British Wrestlers enter looking to learn the traditional British craft. The more Americanised style may lose some viewers, but it can also produce some incredibly gifted British wrestlers.
This is your chance to say, which era produced the best British Wrestling?

Nobody, then or now, comes close to George Kidd. Many WoS learned their moves from him, but none could match him. It was a joy to watch him humiliate McManus and his ilk

Two words. 'Big Daddy'. What the Sex Pistols were to punk, Shirley Crabtree was to British Wrestling, to whit the only thing remembered by most but in truth the death knell. Although strong in his youth he was later almost solely responsible for the misconception that wrestling was about fat sweaty men pretending (unconvincingly) to hit each other. The formula - he won without really being any good at wrestling - was tiresome. Sound familiar - yes Cena I mean you.
And god it was slow. Three rounds, best of three falls, you have received your first public warning.
However whilst the American style changed the game, it seems to be losing its way a bit, every match has to have acrobatics, look where that got Sid Vicious (the wrestler not the punk). Still a few years ago in one WWE PPV almost every match featured someone getting their head cut open, and it got through that.
However I would say modern wrestling - it is fast paced and exciting, heyday Brit wrestling was slow and sweaty. And look at top british performers in the WWE now, Regal, Ryan, Sheamus, MacIntyre, Barrett, any one of them would do for Giant Haystacks and slap McManus for afters.
