Brittany is amazing fun!

For those of you that love camping holidays and have yet to venture out of the England I would definitely recommend Brittany in Northern France. I have been to Brittany over 8 times now with the rest of my family and have loved every holiday! It only takes 5 hours from the South including the ferry crossing and the car journey. The weather is surprisingly warmer compared to the UK (even though it is so close) and the locals are friendly and welcoming too.

For the oldies there is plenty of history and views to savour, but more importantly, Brittany has loads of campsites packed full of fun and excitement. Most campsites in Brittany I have been too have super slides, fantastic swimming pools and adventurous activities such as zip wires, archery, water sports, pony trekking and much more! (To be honest I would more likely call them holiday parks than campsites.)

The particular holiday campsite parks that stood out from the rest was La Grande Metairie, Domaine de Kerlann, Ty Nadan and Chateau Des Ormes, all have fantastic swimming pools with La Grande Metairie being the newest and best. At Ty Nadan you can do all sorts! My brothers had fun with the paint balling (not my sort of thing) and we all loved the quad bikes and kayaking.

I left a campsite review here which seems to have lots of reviews from other campers. I also found a blog about campsite holidays in france here. So if you're tired of Britain and want to be a little more adventurous, try a campsite in Brittany.
