When I decided to run my first marathon, I knew I needed a very good pair of shoes to get me across the finish line.

I took a trip to the local running shoe specialty store and was told that I had a relatively "normal" foot. Well that was nice to hear! The owner explained that different types of foot arches and widths require certain types of shoes.

I tried on many brands and did several jogs on the store's treadmill before selecting the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 8 running shoes. I have been so pleased with that choice, that I have gone through four pairs of the same model and recently received my first pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 9 running shoes. Just when I thought this brand couldn't get much better, this latest model is lighter and even more comfortable than its predecessor, plus it comes in a snazzy-looking black and silver color!

These shoes are incredibly lightweight and provide plenty of extra cushion that long-distance runners require. If their durability is anything like the GTS 8, they should hold up for well over 300 miles on each pair. Because of the superior design and high quality of the GTS 8 and GTS 9, these shoes have become very popular within the running world.
