Breaking Free from Societal Eating Behaviors that Make Us Sick!

Hi, I'm Dr. Bergman of the Alternative Naturopathic Center in Littleton, CO. In our other lenses we emphasized that much of the cause of nutritional deficiency and the resulting Metabolic Syndrome lies in food processing and the conversion of society into a 'fast-food nation.' In addition, environmental issues have contributed in a very significant way to the toxins we are exposed to through the food, air and water. On top of all that, stress is at an all-time high.

The good news is that all three primary factors behind disease causation are manageable if we get support in making the necessary changes regarding our habits of thought and behavior.

Time For Us to Stand Up & Say "Stop SuperSizing Me!"

My wife, daughter and I rented the movie 'Supersize Me.' This was really an eye-opener! I never truly realized the commitment of the Fast Food Industry to addict our children to their products.

While society grapples with how to best handle, in a free society, the issues surrounding the distribution of tobacco, fast-food and pharmaceutical drugs, we as individuals and families must use the power of community to support healthier lifestyles or face needless pain and suffering.

Even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health are promoting Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes as the key to the rising epidemics of obesity, hypertension, diabetes and cholesterol/lipid abnormalities.

The Alternative Naturopathic Center & Our Approach to Breaking Free from Behaviors Leading to Obesity and Stress

At our Alternative Naturopathic Center, we use an interdisciplinary approach for the effective management of serious risk factors for chronic disease, including being overweight and stress.

We focus on resolving the underlying causes of unhealthy behaviors including the 'emotional drivers' that reinforce unhealthy behavior. We create a highly personalized and comprehensive lifestyle program to effectively resolve current risk factors while supporting change through supervised group and individual sessions.

Building A Supporting "Wellness Community" For Optimum Health

In addition, all of this must be reinforced through the building of a 'Wellness Community' where the efforts of individuals become magnified enormously through the power of a growing and expanding group.

There is a vast unseen power for health and both physical and emotional healing available to us when we understand practical methods for activating this Power in our own experience and thereby living a life of optimum health.

Join Us On Our Quest to Promote Health & Disease Prevention

We are also looking for people who would like to work with us both locally in the Denver, Colorado region and through the internet in developing a Wellness Community that can get people on the right track regarding health promotion and disease prevention!
