What you need to know before you buy muscle building supplements

Many supplements on the market meant to build muscle also boast to raise testosterone levels. However, are any of these products healthy, or are they even useful? The answer may surprise you. If you are in search of a muscle building testosterone boosting supplement to help you out in the weight room it is possible to find such a supplement. But be cautious of the many products advertised to do this, as many are not useful and do not do what they claim.

The problem with many of them is that they don't recommend a dosage that's high enough to bypass your body's natural defense mechanisms -defenses which are there to protect your liver. Thus, many testosterone boosting supplements that would work aren't able to get through your body and actually elevate your testosterone levels.

This is done on purpose by the health supplement companies. They understand that if their products really worked - if they recommended a higher dosage - there is an increased health risk for the consumer. Using these supplements with higher doses would mess with the endocrine system, which could potentially cause problems.

The second issue with these muscle building testosterone boosting supplements is their claim for increased muscle growth and testosterone levels. These are two entirely different processes being combined into one formula! Also, in order for testosterone to be used by the cells for growth, it needs a binder. Most formulas don't add this factor to their formulas, and the outcome is very weak.

Muscles have binders that are known as androgen receptors and their job is to bind with free testosterone, which stimulates growth. Acetyl L-carnitine is one of the supplements that can aid this process by increasing the number of androgen receptors in your muscles. The extra androgen receptors are then able to "pick up" the elevated testosterone that has been boosted by the supplements and transport it to the muscles for growth.

As with all supplements, it's very important to make sure you're getting the correct dosage so that the true testosterone boosting ingredients can actually work. One known testosterone booster is called Tribulis. Besides this ingredient, you also need to increase your androgen receptors by adding the acetyl L-carnitine. When looking for a supplement, make sure that it has these two ingredients, which will work together properly to elevate your testosterone levels and subsequently build more muscle.

Sex, Testosterone, and Muscle!

Anyone who has been lifting weights and working out for any length of time knows there is a link between testosterone and muscle building. It is common knowledge that testosterone is the male sex hormone.

This brings me to the question that many people have asked, "Does SEX actually LOWER testosterone...and your ability to build muscle? Any bodybuilder knows that increasing your testosterone levels can help you add lots of new muscle mass to your frame in addition to raising the libido.

This connection has made many wonder if their love life was hurting their performance in the gym, or on the field, and did it hurt muscle growth. I am sure you have heard of football players being told not to have sex the night before game as it may take the "lion" out of the fighter Made him WEAKER?

Actually, this was a question I recently took head on and it has not been easy to find the answer.

It is something that needs to be replenished on a daily basis. During sex there is a loss of this zinc. In fact, it is reported that there is up to 1mg of zinc lost for every "happy ending". Now wen we sweat there is an even greater loss.

Here is what to do

Testosterone is a "supply and demand" hormone so it is essential that you are following a muscle building program that naturally releases testosterone. Make sure you provide your body with a need to produce more testosterone.
Here is the good news, though sex does decrease zinc and testosterone it also creates a need to create more. Next, make sure you're supplementing with about 15-25mg each day of zinc picolinate, and you will find the best results if you take it right before you go to bed on an empty stomach. This will make sure you have adequate levels of the "raw nutrient" to optimize natural testosterone production and of course, BUILD MORE MUSCLE!
