When you decide to get involved in Network Markteing or MLM Business you will no doubt face some common pitfalls that just about everyone comes across at one time or another. Some of the basic and most common ones are as follows:

LEARNING CURVE: If you've just recently decided to launch a business of your own, you've probably noticed that there is a learning curve in this industry. Unless you've had an extensive background in Network Marketing, there are some things you'll need to learn.

In most cases, you are on your own with that learning curve and it is going to be your responsibility. This lens was created to assist you in negotiating through that learning curve as comfortbaly and quickly as possible. The learning curve that I myself experienced was a long path to where I am today. I soon learned quickly that most business opportunities want to sign people up as quickly as possible, but too many new associates are left to fend for themselves once they do get started. With a failure rate of about 97% in this industry I decided I was going to be part of the 3% that made it and I went looking for a way to learn what I needed to know without letting my business die in the process. I felt it was time to change those statistics and I decided to do everything in my power to assist others in this area.

FINANCIAL COST: Not only do most business models require some type of initial investment, if you don't know what you are doing, you'll end up putting yourself into debt.

Most of us go to Google right away when we get involved in our Network Marketing business online and most, not all, learn the hard way like I did that it can get quite expensive if you don't know what you are doing. If I had the knowledge I have now I might have saved thousands of dollars and not maxed out every one of my credit cards. There are several different ways to go about curbing the costs involved in building your business. Once you get started with your opportunity, the rest can usually be covered andn controlled under the next topic - advertising.

ADVERTISING: Most Network Marketers start their online Network Marketing or MLM business with no advertising or marketing background. We are simple, every day kind of people with family, goals and dreams who jump in with both feet to get our new business going. Most of our business opportunity corporate sites will teach you what to say, and tell you where to put an ad, but they don't teach you how to brand yourself and really hit a target market that wants to hear from you. Advertising is one place that your business costs can make you or break you. Sure, you can place ads, create Google adword accounts, make flyers, print drop cards, etc. but if you don't learn some of the most effective, and free, advertising techniques then all your doing is spending money until you start making some. I don't know about you, but this is where I had the most problems getting my business off the ground. I was spending more than I was making. Not Good!

TRAFFIC GENERATION:
Your advertising and marketing techniques will help dictate the quality of your lead generation and traffic to your website. The kind of ads you place, the way you word your ads, and where you place them all play a part in generating quality traffic to your website and getting you business. There are key methods and techniques to maximize traffic to your site and the quality of your traffic generation can make or break your business. If you don't get people to your site, you don't have a business.
