Are you benefiting from the suggestions of your upline?

This is a topic that I hold near and dear to my heart. Succeeding in business has been challenging for me in the past. Until I was introduced to something that fit perfectly with my personality. Having my prospects and leads seek me out instead of me being forced to chase them. After years of struggling with various businesses including network marketing and sales, I understand the frustration. Because I have always felt that there was a better way for me to accomplish my goals, there has always been a search for a good fit, a technique that was perfect for my comfort level. If you are an individual who is having success with the traditional marketing and sales techniques being taught by most Direct Sales and MLM businesses, this is not for you. Unless, you are open minded and willing to learn new ideas and skills. However, I wrote this for the large number of people who have convinced themselves that Selling and Network Marketing is not for them. This is because very little of what they have seen or experienced with sales people and multi level marketers would be considered professional at all.

Old school or New school Marketing Techniques? 

Most direct sales and network marketing companies that I have been exposed to teach and train in a very similar way. They generally talk heavily about the company and the ground floor aspect, in addition to making a list of 100 friends and family members which I was taught initially in the insurance industry. In network marketing, we were given a short script and told to keep it short and call our list to tell them that we wanted to get their opinion on something that is really exciting and that one of my business partners who makes a lot of money would be in town to tell them all about it, when they come to either my house or the conference room at the local hotel at 8pm on Thursday. We were also told to listen to lots of tapes, cds and to read lots of positive books to have the proper mindset. Books, tapes and cds are great for self improvement. However, the reason this is such an intricate part of traditional sales is because of the nature of the training and techniques being used. Some people experience feeling like they are a pest, which is how most of the training is geared. Because in this case, the books, tapes and cds are used to pump you up prior to the prospects or the telephone itself beating you down.

There are a lot of people who are challenged with these techniques. Unfortunately, after so long, a substantial amount of them give up, 95% of sales people either quit or struggle terribly until most have depleted all of their savings. They also tell themselves that this is not for them while saying they hate sales anyway.

Professionals don't chase they advise. My goal is to assist new or frustrated business owners, sales people who want to become Sales Professionals, MLMs, and Network Marketers with accomplishing their financial goals while getting paid to generate quality prospects at no cost. Free lead generation was unheard of in all other businesses that I have been involved in. I paid $2,000 for leads with one company.

Because there has always been a deep feeling from within that there was a better way to succeed in business, my search never ended. My belief that generating a sale should not require chasing, hounding or demeaning oneself was confirmed. When I found this method of having leads pursue me instead of the reverse, and that they will pay me to work with them, was awesome. There was a since of relief and gratification that the better way was finally in the palm of my hands. Attraction marketing works.

Always remain true to yourself. There are generally two or more ways to get to any destination. Two people, friends or associates can decide to take different roads and that is fine, nothing should interfere with ones personal preference. There is no right or wrong way, just different. Because the techniques you have been using to generate leads and new clients are not working for you, maybe it is time to try something new.

    Dear NKenge,

    It took me years of struggling to decide that it wasn't me that was failing, it was what I had been taught that was failing. The old school methods of recruiting were not me. I wasn't comfortable doing them and had minimal success with them.

    I am breathing a sigh of relief as I learn the online methods. It is all about marketing and how to attract the people I need on my team.
