very crisp very clear, i love hd. especially when one starts working, after working 8-9hr days and dealing with customers and what not, you simply just want to detox and enjoy yourself, this tv does just that. couple of things, make sure you establish proper viewing distance before you purchase this, hd is all about proper viewing distance. the samsungs have glossy screens so it makes the picture look even that much better, the colors pop more and it seems like the details are richer. however, the glossy screen is not for everyone. some people like regular anti-gloss screen, think macbook v. mac book pro's, look at the screen. hence, this tv is ridic, especially nice since the super bowl is coming up, definately a great buy. it is a bit on the pricey end, but if you are already into the 1000's might as well put in a few more hundreds to save yourself the "what if" notion. this is young mula speaking, shout out to the six too sick.

What can I say about this TV that hasn't already been said. It arrived on time and in good condition. Even though my old TV was a 40 inch tube Sony Wega with a blurry picture, it doesn't disqualify me from saying that the picture quality of the Samsung 46 inch TV is stunning. I bought a $62 Toshiba upverting DVD player locally to go along with it. I also have a XBox 360, Wii, and a standard definition DirecTV connected to it. All do very well. I was worried that a standard definition signal would look terrible, but as long as you keep the picture setting at 4:3, it looks great. I have an HD DVR on order. Just another week and a half a way. I can't wait to watch hockey in HD.
Only negative that I can see is if you have more than one standard RCA connection device and no surround sound receiver, you will need some kind of converter or switch since the TV has only one standard RCA (white, red, yellow) connection.
Folks, I saved $600 buying from Amazon over the best local price. High Quality and great price. How can you go wrong?

Excellent TV! Great color and clarity. Great price. I mounted it on the wall using the Samsung motorized mount that is controlled by the TV remote. Not only was the mount a tremendous bargain (cheaper than most non-motorized wall mounts at my local big-box store), it was designed especially for Samsung TVs and was a snap to install. I particularly like the ability for the mount to memorize three settings (again selected via the TV remote) to allow the TV to be viewed from three pre-set locations. Just pick you favorite chair, use the remote to position the TV just perfectly, and then save the setting under one of the memory buttons. Move to another viewing location and repeat. Recall the appropriate setting for your viewing location with the touch of the correct button. Neat!And, BTW, the TV and mount were delivered on time and in perfect condition.
