HMS Victory: Nelsons famous flagship. Imagine having a Total War game without the most famous battle ship in history.
Rogers Rangers: Major Robert Rogers highly trained elite light infantry, specialising in reconnaissance and special operations. They are extremely mobile in even the most challenging environments.
Ottoman Organ Gun: A viciously powerful field gun, deadly at close range like a world war 1 machine gun powered by gun powder, hews down the enemy like a plow through snow.
Ghoorkas: Very brave soldiers from nepal, alide to the British and armed with 18 inch blades. They fight to the last man, never surrendering.
Corso Terrestre Guerillas: Low in numbers but fierce. Experts at camoflage and surprise. They can be recruited as mercenaries by anyone.
Bulkeley's Regiment: A French unit of Irish mercenaries, very tough and resilient.
The Dahomey Amazons: An elite all woman unit from western Africa, excellent with rifles and in close combat, they don't take prisoners so be careful.

Other than Total War, the only other war games that i would recommend for the PC are the Europa Universalis series. The first one is a little dated now, but the second version is much improved on the first. The third has a greater emphasis on graphics with a little drop in gameplay quality. So i recommend you buy Europa Universalis 2 to begin with.
