An Amazing Number of Americans are Looking For A New Way

Are you among them?

I know I was just a few short months ago. I chose to leave the work force as most people know it and started out on a new path to financial freedom. The path I chose, was to become an entrepreneur and have my own business, allowed me to decide my own hours and the kind of work I do. I make the money and keep the money. It does not go to my boss, well ok maybe it does I am my boss.

More often than not these days people are going to work only to find the infamous pink slip waiting for them either with a severence package or without one. Either way these folks are out of work, with no way to support their family and provide them with the things they need. The thought of job security is a thing of the past. It used to be that you go to school, get a degree, graduate, look for a corporate type of job that offers good benefits, pension plan, medical benefits and other types of bonuses that will help the employees.

All types of employers are looking for ways to cut back expenses and make more money. Unfortunately this usually means that the little white/blue collar worker is the one hit the hardest, not the big CEO's. Although here recently with the economic downsize that we have experienced even the big CEO's are being hit with more and more of the downsizing than was ever thought in past recessions and even during the depression.

Chances are you know one or more people that have been hit in todays economical downsize. They have probably told you the horror story of how they were let go with no warning, or they had warning and chose to not heed that warning and make plans for an alternate way of living.

I bet you are now wondering what does all of this have to do with firing my boss? Well would you rather fire your boss and have a way already set in place to make you the same amount of income or more than you do now with your job, or would you rather your boss fire you with no other plan of action in place?

The choice is rather elementary for most, most would rather fire their boss and already have a plan in place to take over the income they make with now with their Job! In the past the only option that was even worth considering was find a new job with equal or higher pay and same or better benefits. Now there is another option, you can start your company and be your own boss. Work from home, with the freedom to decide when you work and how much you work. So there is a choice you need to make and the final choice can only be made by you. Is this an option I want to take? I can think of a better question to ask myself in this position and that is ... Is this an option I can not afford to take?

The link above(please copy and paste) is an informational site, this page will help better explain what it is I am talking about. I encourage you to at least take the chance to read through it and reread through it. It is worth the read and then follow what the next step, if your future means as much to you as mine does to me. See you on the other side!

Videos by other entrpreneurs that are informational

A hand pick selection of some of the videos I have run across in my learnings that I feel may be of some value to my readers. Hope you enjoy and please remember to comment on how helpful you think they are. I am always looking to include more informational videos weekly.

The first video is by Stan and Mary Ann Huddle I find to be very personable and informational for new people looking to do the same thing as Stan, Mary Ann, and myself are doing. That is work at home and make a great life for your family.

The second video is by Jay Kubassek one of the co founders of CarbonCopyPro and I strongly encourage you to listen to the message in this one.

Fire your boss!

No one ever thought the day would come that Americans could fire their boss and not have it the other way around. I fired my boss about 6 months ago. I love it! I was able to replace my income from my piddly little temp jobs that I would get monthly and make a full time income working from home part time. Now you are saying that is not possible at all. Well you are probably right if you were talking about a run of the mill work from home scam. That is Not, let me repeat Not what I do.

I am in the informational marketing arena online. I put in on average about 5-6 hours Monday thru Thursday (I take Fridays off, husbands day off from the road) and work only a couple of hours if I choose to over the weekend. Calculate that out and it is less than 40 hours a week with a 3 day weekend every week.

I chose to fire my boss and work for myself so I could be at home, save money on gas, child care, food, you name it I have saved on it without the commute. Life is easier, less stressful, no office politics, no rumor mills going on, no drama, just a pleasant work environment that I control completely. Calgon has come and taken me away!

I will leave you with this thought:

If what you are doing now is not working for you why are you still doing it?
Isn't it better to risk and gain than to never have risked at all?

Wow you're still here...GREAT!

Let me share with you a little bit of information that is probably causing some major questions in your mind.

Say I get started in my own company, start up cost (minimal compared to brick and mortar style business) What do I do to get the word out about my business and the information I have to help others get where I am?

That is so simple, Really it is. You have a wide variety of options at no cost or low cost advertising. Ok what are they, there is no such thing as free advertising your thinking, right? Wrong! You are reading a version of free advertising. All this costs is to sign up for a squidoo account(free) and start writting your own lenses to the word out about your new venture. Ok so it cost you some time but no green backs from the wallet.

There is Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Myspace to name a few other free types of advertising.

As you learn more and more you have the options of branching out in the Internet Marketing arena you may opt to use PPC (payperclick) advertising methods. The options are endless and you will be making money for little or no money from the comfort of your own couch, chair, porch even your bed if you choose.
