How to Buy CAbi Clothing Without Going to a Show

Carol Anderson has had a loyal following for over 25 years. It is the personal touch, the attention to detail, and the unique styling that has led to Carol's success.

The story really has humble beginnings...in a garage in Burbank, California in 1977. The venture began when a talented young designer was discussing her desire to design her own line of clothing with a good friend fresh from graduate school. Carol Anderson and Jan Janura, with $800 between them and her garage as a workshop, believed they had a concept that would sell - great fashion, excellent fit, and quality at affordable prices!

On May 15, 1977, two days after the company moved into a very empty loft space in the garment district of Los Angeles, two buyers from Nordstrom gave them their very first order. When the garments had shipped, Carol and Jan waited and waited to hear a response. The phone call finally came. Carol's clothes are selling and we want more! That was over 25 years ago and soon the brand became a mainstay in retail stores across the country.

Carol and Jan set out to create a solid, debt-free company with an exceptional reputation throughout the industry. Having maintained a significant friendship over the years, Jan and Carol deepened their partnership in 1993 when they became husband and wife.

Today, Carol Anderson is taking a new path. Over the years, she would repeatedly hear from customers and friends a desire for greater access to her designs. Likewise, among a wide circle of Carol's friends, she would often hear women talk about their desire for a home based business. So, in 2001, Carol and a small group of friends created CAbi, Carol Anderson by invitation, a direct sales company offering exclusive custom-designed clothing sold only in homes. Trained Consultants provide for the personal needs of each customer in the privacy and convenience of a relaxed
home setting.

Women's fashion is constantly in flux, so there are probably those who wish getting dressed in the morning were as easy as tapping their closets with a magic wand and having them fill up with clothes that are on season and on the mark -- fashionable without the sins of being too trendy or too conservative (read: boring).

You might say stylishness without stress is the key to CAbi, a personal shopper-driven clothing line offering two collections a year, for spring/summer and fall/winter.

The name stands for Carol Anderson by invitation, after the designer who started the line and her concept of private fashion presentations in which hosts invite a handful of friends for a few hours of fun and shopping.

CAbi apparel is created with a woman's lifestyle in mind, with everything from casual to business to evening wear. Pieces are intended to work with clothing a woman might already own.

CAbi aims to solve closet dilemmas with separates that range from sizes 0 to 16, and XS to XL, and covering a price range of $39 for a camisole top to $298 for a leather jacket. The line covers all of today's necessities, from tissue tees meant for layering, to plush velour hoodies and wraps that could double as skirts.

In the private showings friends are able to try CAbi clothing on and get immediate and honest feedback as to how they look.

CAbi Shirts
CAbi shirts are designed for CAbi women. A CAbi woman can be any woman with any body type and size. CAbi clothing sizes range from extra small(xs) to extra large(xl). CAbi shirts are versatile,stylish and quality driven. The prices are reasonable and worth every cent. CAbi shirts have different neckline styles. The V-necks give prominence to your neckline and collarbones,hence making it the most flattering style for all women of different shapes and sizes. Scoop Necks are suitable for women with heavier builds and round faces.Boat necks suit women with triangular body shapes while one shoulder/asymmetrical are a great fashion statement for all women. Its a great way to draw attention to the shoulder,collarbone and neck.The penelope blouse from the CAbi Fall 09 has a v-neck,is frilly and feminine with long sleeves. The penelope blouse can be worn with a jacket, when going to office or it can be teamed with a waistcoat. Its a beautiful blue colour with a checkered pattern and costs only $89.

I helped my Cabi consultant unpack the new Fall '08 collection yesterday...the new clothes are very cute but expensive. Seemed pricier than usual, but probably not.

Some of my favorites:

Alpine Reversible Vest soft ivory faux fur on one side, champagne colored silky finish on the other.

Teddy Coat Super soft, casual, natural colored hoody. You will want to sleep in it!!

Carriage Cape One of the few pieces in the collection with color! Apple green capelet with black & white polka dot lining. Very cute!

Flapper Dress Basic black sheath with empire waist & carwash flaps over the top. This is hard to describe, but it's very unusual and oh-so-fun!

Damask Printed Sweater & Papyrus Printed Sweater These 2 sweaters are similar to the Crown Sweater from last fall. One is charcoal colored, the other is green. And they are reversible!! Love that!! There is a different print on each side.

There are lots of great basics (turtlenecks, trousers,wrap tops, zippered blouses, 2 wrap cardigans with kilt pins, fabulous blouses) and several styles of jeans including trouser jeans, skinny jeans, & the usual contemporary & classic fits. Trousers include everything from cigarette pants to high-waisted, fuller leg Garbo pants. Also some corduroy (long skirt & cargo pants), a couple of pencil skirts, 2 reversible skirts, a plaid skirt, a plaid jacket, equestrian inspired blazer & vest...and so much more!

The Cabi Fall line has been given to the Cabi consultants but not revealed on the website yet. It is coming soon as the reps start to do the home parties. Soon there after items will begin to be listed on CAbi Clothes on WinTheStuff.com!.

My wife hosted a CAbi show at our home this week showcasing the new CAbi Fall 2008 Clothing line. It was a huge hit!

She sold over $4,000 worth of CAbi clothing over a two night period. I think she can buy 17 items at half off. But she also get over $120 in CAbi dollars meaning CAbi if going to buy her a few items. It works our great for her and her friend that is the CAbi Rep.
