Did you love watching CHiPs?

From the lens CHiPs.

I loved watching CHiPs as a kid. I watched it on re-runs in the 80's...being born in 76. LOL. I would watch the show, then jump on my bicycle and ride all over the neighborhood. I have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. I'm ready for the rest to come out. I found a website that sells DVDs recorded straight from the original film copies, but I am hesitant to buy it because they state there may be errors and pauses. Hopefully the rest will come out on DVD soon!!

Hello Sue. If you're a friend of Larry's then maybe, just maybe he might be able to have some influence to help the fans see the rest of the shows on DVD. I've been waiting 3 years now for season 3. Plus there's still seasons 4, 5, and 6 to buy. I'll be an old lady by the time WB decide to put their A into G with the releases! I was only a little kid when I saw the reruns in the mid 80's in NZ and just loved the show.I can just remember when Larry & Eric visited NZ for a charity telethon in the early 80's. I have gotten my nephew hooked on the show too. Jon was my favourite character as a kid, and I relate to Ponch now, especially with keeping uniforms clean! Being in Australia now, it's region 4 for DVD's. So an extra wait after the USA release. I hope you can help! Isobel

YES, it was and still is the best. As a child I was so up set with my neighbor. i had sent away for and autographed photo of Ponch & Jon. Well for some reason my neighbor received it and not me. When I saw it hanging on a bedroom wall I questioned it and was told they too had sent away for the same autographed photo. I knew that was just a load of BS because they were never fan of the show. Here it is now about 30 years later and I would still love to have an autographed photo of them. My husband just gave me DVD placket of about 60 of their shows. anyone know where I could get that autographed photo? my email is NRid1@aol.com. my name is Melissa and I make custom cakes for a living.

I loved this show from the begining. Being born in 69' I was the perfect age to be hooked immediately. Lots of fun to watch. I had just gotten my first bike, a 73' XR75 about the time this series started. So it was a given, that I was going to be watching it. Cool dudes on motorcycles, riding around a much less crowded (than today) southern california, lots of gorgeous women needing help. What more could a young guy ask for.

I'll have to see about getting it on DVD's. Been a long long time since I've seen an episode.

Super cool show though, I'm surprissed I didn't go on to want to become a CHP officer. Suppose if I would have lived in Cal, it probably would have been a done deal. I did later own a 70' Trans Am, though not painted like Ponches 72' or 73'. Alot of appealing stuff in that series.

Chips was the best! Watching it now on dvd just brings back an old obsession with the show,I was a teenager when it was on t.v, I would plan my dates around this show because I had to watch it. Jon was my favorite but him and Ponch together was what made the show great!

    Hi,

I'm from Quebec Canada and speak French (and English). I am a total Larry Wilcox fan. I used to love Ponch but, now that I'm older and wiser, I'm attracted to the more mature character. I watched CHiPs as a teenager and am having even more fun watching it now that I'm a "tiny" bit older... I even went to Los Angeles on my honeymoon... Can't wait till all the seasons come out.

I loved Chips growing up. I was so obsessed with the show, I dressed up as Jon Baker for Halloween 2 years in a row. ( I was 5 years old at the time)
