COAF 2010 - Fishing Leader Board

Ranked #11,869 in Sports & Recreation, #291,445 overall | Donates to March of Dimes

Welcome!

Update: We have closed out 2010's COAF Fishing Leader Board. 2011's has been posted; check it out and keep sending pictures! 2011 COAF Fishing Leader Board.

Welcome to our fishing leader board, a website that invites our readers to post pictures of fish caught in the community lakes and ponds in the cities of Allen, Plano, Frisco, and Mckinney.

Our intent is to post the top 3 Bass, Catfish, and Bluegill/Sunfish caught by area fishermen in 2010. Criteria for submitting a fish are noted in the sections below for a given category.

As a general rule, once the top 3 fish of a category are posted, they will remain on the list until another fish "bumps" one from the list. Also, the top 3fish are determined by length only and submittal of a fish are based on the honor system. There are no prizes for being in the top 3 but feel free to enjoy the bragging rights!

As we manage several websites on a volunteer basis, please be patient with us as we do this for free. We remain avid fishermen who enjoy promoting the sport and look forward to your pictures.

We hope you enjoy this site and Good Luck and Good Fishing!

Criteria for Submitting a Fish

General Guidelines

Our intent is to provide simple guidelines to submit photos. To reiterate, this effort is strictly volunteer, there are no prizes, and the honor system is critical!

General guidelines for submitting a fish are listed below.

  1. Fish must be caught this year - 2010.
  2. Fish must be caught in community lakes and ponds in the cities of Allen, Plano, Frisco, and Mckinney.
  3. Fish must meet the minimum length requirement for a given fish. Photo should include a measuring device that clearly shows the length.
  4. If the photo cannot be viewed or the measuring device is unreadable, photo will not be posted.
  5. Note: A dollar bill as a unit of measurement is supported. If not available, a hand will suffice. Other entries that have a measuring device will have precedence.

To submit a photo, email COAF.Weblog@Live.Com and indicate "Attn: Fishing Leader Board Photo" in the subject line. We require the comment in the subject line as it minimizes spam emails and allows us to determine valid email submissions. Also, in the email include:

  1. The fish's length as measured using Texas Parks and Wildlife guidelines.
  2. The city and community lake or pond where the fish was caught.
  3. The date the fish was caught.
  4. Username you wish to be identified as, no last names and/or profanity.

Administrative Comments.

  1. Submittal of photos indicates the sender's consent to post the picture on this website.
  2. After submittal, check the leader board on a periodic basis as we are unable to provide receipt confirmation of a photo.
  3. In addition, be sure to save the original photo as will be unable to return them back to the sender.
