How your company can survive the crisis of '09
Majority of the scientific research conducted proves that companies implementing efficient marketing strategies during crises tend to grow by 250 per cent.
However, some companies are quick to cut their marketing budgets in an effort to cut costs in the wake of an unforeseeable future. I for one (and most marketing experts will agree with me) think the exact opposite is necessary. "Most of the companies in the world commit the common error of reducing their marketing budgets in times of crisis, despite innovative marketing being the most efficient solution to weather through a slowdown", reported the Consumer 360 conference held by Neilsen in Egypt last month. The conference concluded that the majority of the scientific research conducted over the last 50 years proved that companies which implemented efficient marketing strategies during crises, tend to grow in times of economic recovery by as far s 250 per cent. Also, on the contrary, companies which reduce their marketing budgets during such periods do our company can surv not exceed a growth rate of 19 per cent. Adapting does in no way mean cutting your main avenues for lead generation. How does anyone expect sales numbers to stay constant, let alone increase, if they tear apart their advertising campaigns? According to a late 2008 McKinsey survey of 340 senior marketing executives worldwide, despite the decline in economic activity 91% said they plan to maintain or exceed current levels of online advertising, and 55% were cutting traditional media, in order to increase funding for online efforts."
Now many of you will read this and have excuses, and to that I say shhh! Read on. In this time of uncertainty, you must market more aggressively, whilst also marketing more cost effectively as well in order to minimize the damage done to the capital reserves of your business. Because of this I agree with the hundreds of other Advertising Experts blogging up a storm when I say that Online Advertising is the way to go right now for the following 4 reasons.
# People are still going to buy what the need and want badly enough, they just need to
#find your product/service and company before they find your competitor's. The need for your company to be "omnipresent" is greater than it has ever been before and
# because of this Online Marketing is the clear alternative to the, traditional methods of advertising as one can be several places at the same time thanks to insanely expansive advertising networks like that of Google, and Yahoo.
# Internet marketing has the highest Return on Investment of any form of marketing out there. The 2 major ROI's for Online Marketing are sales and post campaign reporting. The first is obvious, sales, meaning a higher number of sales per/ amount spent than any other form of advertising available to companies today. The second form of ROI of Online Marketing takes some explaining to understand as it is a new term to many. The information and data you can gather from an Internet Marketing campaign on your target demographic is the #1 ROI you can take from your online efforts. There is no better way to peer into the minds of your consumers than to discover where and what they search to find your business. This reporting enables your business to become extremely powerful in the long run as you are able to tweak and change campaigns to maximize efficiency and effectiveness daily.
# Internet marketing reaches more people for less money than any other form of marketing available. Because there is no minimum budgets with Online Marketing and some Online Marketing Agencies can start campaigns for the same price as one day's newspaper advertisement, it makes it very easy for even the smallest of companies to begin. Online Marketing is also completely quantifiable, so companies are able to see exactly where every dirham, pound, dollar, real, shilling or peso was spent making for excellent returns.
# The Internet poses the best chance of any marketing media to grow during the economic crisis. As people are becoming more frugal and each purchase becomes more important, they are tending to spend absorbent amounts of time researching each of their purchases online. This is giving companies access to larger numbers of people by the minute, and because this database of people can be segmented based on preferences the ROI again is higher than anything else available.
These are facts, and not my personal opinions. Everything I have mentioned in this article can be researched and backed up by even more credible sources than myself. The bottom line is this: Stay focused on your customer first, and not on the market as your customers are the ones who will help see your business through this economic downturn. Stop complaining about the current situation and do something immediately to save your business by searching online yourself for the most competitive and professional Online Marketing Agency to see what kind of offers they can make you. They may just save your business.

Online Marketing & The Pink Factor
As most of you must have guessed, this is a blog that has something to do with women (power of pink anyone?). What triggered this online marketing post was this really nice website I came across, WomanOwned.com which is a one-stop point for women who own businesses online.
When I browsed through the numerous helpful strategies that were scattered throughout the website, the first thing that struck me was the immediate comfort factor I sensed. These people have managed to reach out to the woman browsing online and have offered her a site that can be trusted enough to listen to.
Considering the sheer number of women logging onto the internet and carrying out jobs, activities and hobbies daily, it is understandable that online marketing does more than it can to attract this tremendous spending force.
Holly Buchanan of Grokdotcom tried to look at the power images of women have on the consumer market as a whole and thinks that female consumers relate better to images that are relevant to the product offered. Male consumers on the other hand, are first struck by the image of the woman on the packaging after which they move on to the contents of the package.
So much for what the researchers at the University of Granada discovered about gender stereotypes!

The 'C'redibility Factor - Do Your Hired SEOs Have It?
Rory Cellan-Jones was talking about the side effects of the changing face of journalism all over the world on his BBC dot.life blog the other day. Ruing about how readers now relate to news services he says, "The audience - which used to know its place - is being asked to act as a kind of journalistic ombudsman, ruling on our credibility."
In the world of search engine optimization and online marketing as well, social bookmarking services like Digg and Sphinn have yielded the responsibility of gauging credibility in the hands of the readers/visitors.
Tools like those that Blogged and RateItAll provide are a badge of popularity that website visitors happily use to deem a site as cool or not.
Even Google loves sites that have popular and higher page ranked sites linking to them.
Far from complaining about such tools, which search engine optimizers have to keep adapting and incorporating in their strategies, there is an added subtle assurance sent out to the reader or site visitor. An assurance that says, 'Yes, we know all that we say we know and others know that we know it to. So come trust us.'
That oft-repeated old adage, 'survival of the fittest' keeps manifesting itself, and this credibility debate is a good example. It definitely keeps the competition engaged while discarding those that don't have it. This is better than the jungle though, even if you have lost or reduced your credibility, you have countless chances to regain it.
For search engine optimization that's got the 'C' Factor, get in touch with Cosmos Creatives. We'll help you get it and keep it with the first chance.
Market Analysts find Bigger Potential for Profit in Local Online Marketing
Press Release By- Cosmos Creatives.
As needs for internet marketing escalate further, Cosmos Creatives identifies and offers those elements more conducive to corporate growth and profit
Boston, U.S.A. - March 17, 2009-The number of people turning to the internet for everything from search to commerce to communication officially crossed the 1 billion mark in 2008. As marketing asserts its presence online, so are loyalties shifting from traditional media to digital, with the latter offering more promise for businesses.
Cosmos Creatives, one of Boston's leading online web solutions providers believes companies should focus their budgets and extend their marketing strategies to the internet. Senior Online Marketing Consultant with the group, Andrew Miller explains, "While online SEO solutions are still popular, email marketing, internet directories and local business searches are finding acceptance as effective alternatives to offline media."
The online SEO services providers should know; they have effectively spearheaded a number of unique marketing campaigns and are recommended for their thorough interpretation of internet marketing analytics.
It is understandable for business owners to be cautious about ad expenditures in the current economic scenario, more so when they are directed towards traditional media. Nevertheless, market analysts have predicted a 12 percent rise in digital ad spending causing a redistribution of corporate budgets.
Andrew reveals, "A logistics service provider recently requested our services for some marketing and search engine optimization work. They requested that we focus our efforts more on social media applications and social bookmarking tactics targeting the local markets. We were not only impressed with their interest in the latest online marketing trends but also learnt that their print and direct mail campaigns were costing their marketing finances a lot. Furthermore, they were finding it difficult to measure and review their marketing efforts- an issue that can be remedied when performed online."
Metrics, statistics and measurable data are just some of the elements considered vital to maintain and follow closely for any business with an eye on growth and expansion. Marketing professionals widely recommend capturing the local markets before moving on to an international clientele as it could be imperative for organized growth. It would certainly be a smart move to consider this before chalking out your business' marketing budget- traditional as well as digital.

Are You A Good Content Writer?
Writers are an odd lot, most of us dubious of our writing skills and given in to long spells of reflection. What works for one does not necessarily work for another. But then again, that's life and like everything else in life, needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Still, resigning your writing style to broodings of life is not really a good idea for a content writer. The trick is to get your content writing to work for your target audience, after which, you shall find most of your work accomplished.
Hooking the audience or website visitor with good content is the main aim of every web content writer. Get your research from sources that are trustworthy and credible, this is the basis of ethical content writing. Search engines ignore websites that seem to feature content that is duplicated and or copied with minimal modification.
Warming to your audience, by providing them with the option to talkback or offer suggestions can prove beneficial in the long-run. There is a lot of valuable advice I have benefited from thanks to a few comments from perceptive visitors.
Remember, everybody has an opinion and everybody wants to be heard on the Internet. As a web content writer, you have to be discerning enough to sieve the wheat from the chaff and see that the chaff is disposed off appropriately.
If you are a business owner looking for content writers that are better than good, visit us at Cosmos Creatives.
Landing Page Optimization - Trust your SEO company
Nobody will look at the landing page for your business if it's supplying them with a lot of information.
A smart search engine optimization and web development professional will tell you that good landing pages are all about select spots that need to be emphasized to captivate the consumer.
Of course, you need to provide them with all the information that you think is necessary to feature on your landing page.
Website designers and developers can accordingly design the landing page to accommodate this information. Be warned though, this might reduce your content drastically. But no more so that the impact is lost (at least that's what a smart online SEO service does).
One of the cool things about implementing excellent landing page optimization techniques is the clutter-free image it projects to the consumer. It's all about clean designs, precise information, appealing color schemes and subtle soft-selling.
You might want to tell the user as much about your product or service when he or she visits your website. But you are bound to scare them away with information-overload if you do the same on your landing page. Similarly, a domain name containing a relevant keyword instead of an ambiguous name for your business or service is imperative.
Remember, visitors will visit your site mainly because your landing page is showing them what they are looking for, and not because you are replicating your website. Trust the online SEO solutions professionals you choose to get your message across.
SEO Press Releases : Have You Unlocked Their Potential As Yet?
Online SEO services have wonderfully adapted this once not-so-famous medium of news distribution. Today, press releases on the internet do not require a sales pitch if optimized properly. Press release optimization, as it is known in some circles, does all the promotion for the company.
They are increasingly becoming an excellent albeit veiled effort at public relations.
The very nature of a press release is rooted in objectivity and readers immediately understand that they are acquainted with knowledge that has come straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak. This automatically gives a release an aspect of credibility, which is what good online marketing always tries to do for a client or business.
What about your business though? Are you missing out on this incredible internet marketing strategy? Does your press release stand out from the 2,000 plus releases that the bigwigs of press release distribution (PR Newswire, Business Wire, PRWeb, etc.) send out everyday?
If no, then maybe it's time to hire an online SEO solutions professional who have experience in press release creation. A comprehensive online marketing company will be of more help though, as web content writers under them have a thorough understanding of press release optimization besides content creation.
Power up the marketing potential of your press releases; get in touch with Cosmos Creatives.
Marketing Free Viruses:
The perceptions of television viewers world-wide were certainly grabbed by the horns, so to speak, by this series which in itself was an unusual television concept to begin with.
That's what viral marketing is all about- difficult to box into a set definition yet rather easy to recognize. Using the influential potential promised by online marketing, viral marketing is a very powerful concept.
Dr. Ralph Wilson at Wilsonweb chalks out some very pertinent elements of the viral marketing concept citing the word "free" as the most powerful word in a marketer's vocabulary. The music group Nine Inch Nails, left behind free USB drives in their concert restrooms which were embedded with images which could be viewed using a spectrograph, songs from their new album and encrypted MP3s.
In order for online marketing to really stand out from the traditional medium of advertising, using concepts like viral marketing can be very advantageous. The Internet involves barely little investment and setting up shop in its by-ways is the best investment you could make.
Contact Cosmos Creatives for more help on online marketing via viral marketing concepts.
The Intelligent Blogger
Aseem Kishore of Online-Tech-Tips.com wrote an incredible guest post on ProBlogger which I simply cant stop thinking about. He let out a startling POV when he stated that one of the reasons his blog met with tremendous success was "because it mimics many of the traits of other successful bloggers".Now, one of the first things that came to my mind when I read this was wow, this guy is actually talking about plagiarism! But when I read on, (as you should do as well) I realized just how far from the truth I actually was.
One of the most covered topics in today's blogging ethos has to be about the IT sector, which covers just about anything and everything to do with computers, especially where computers and the Internet are linked. Naturally, a lot of blogs derive inspiration from other blogs and articles, sometimes not without a little duplication of content.
In such a competitive world, I have found that writing a blog on topics like online marketing and web development are nothing short of a Herculean effort. Cosmos Creatives, started out primarily as a business blog, and till date stays true to this form.
For the different departments that make up the Cosmos team - the web designers, the content writers, the web developers, Flash experts and the SEO's, this blog has posed as a sounding board for dissecting new ideas, reworking old concepts, developing innovative technology and understanding unusual creative processes. While it is impossible to ignore the view-points of others in the business, content copying is simply a desperate attempt to get higher leads and is something which we frown upon.
Embracing new skills and incorporating revolutionary point-of-views while maintaining the brand image of a business is a formidable task on a business blog. Understanding the way the audience and the market think is essential and identifying communication gaps and filling them in an un-hindered, original manner remains one of the core aims of a business blog.
As Maggie Fox, CEO of Social Media Group Inc. puts it, "It's all about business intelligence". Blog wisely, it's your business' credibility on the line.

Giving The Public An Incentive To Search And Businesses An Excuse To Market
from Cosmos Creatives.
The word 'free' makes for one very powerful keyword. It has been exploited to its maximum potential continuously by virtually every startup on the planet. In internet marketing circles there is always a gravitation noticed towards terms like affordable, reasonable, inexpensive, etc. during the course of the business' growth.
But in all this, where does Microsoft, an established software giant stand with its Live SearchPerks program?
According to the specs let out by Microsoft, the first one million U.S. citizens who sign up before the year is over get to use the service. For each time users make use of Live Search, Microsoft's search engine to make an internet search, they are awarded points or tickets, which can be redeemed against prizes.
While there may be flaws in the system, the fact that such a basic marketing tactic is still in use says a lot for online marketing. Online SEO services find such incentive based services great for getting the target audience familiarized with a particular service.
Another plus point is the branding potential present in such website marketing strategies. Look at how Facebook got users to make use of applications like iLike, StyleFeeder, Pass a Drink, etc. to stack up on points they could use to redeem against virtual gifts.
Adding value to the user-experience has its benefits and while for Microsoft it could be just a trickle in the barrel where boosting popularity is concerned, for smaller businesses and startups such a strategy could spell as more profit. Just make sure that you hire the services of a really good online marketing company to handle all your website promotion.
How To Increase Traffic To Your Website
Ok, so, I think we all know where you want to be, or at least where you want your webpage to be, and that is within the first ten results on page one of Google search. Page two and page three may not be too bad because people will sometimes click to view these pages, but the number of visitors to sites below position ten in the Google serps drops off dramatically due to the results not being on page one.
Of course, you can always play the advertising game. There is nothing to stop you going and paying various organisations heaps of money, both online and offline to get the traffic to your website. You could use pay per click advertising such as Google Adwords, but nothing, absolutely nothing compares to getting traffic for free from the search engines because your site makes it to page one on the results pages.
The problem comes in achieving that position and staying there. Just how is it possible to be in the first ten results from a keyword search that may yield millions of results overall?
One tried and tested way is through link building. This is fairly straight forward, although it is laborious (although you could pay someone to do it for you). All you need to do is use that very same search engine and search for websites which have content related to yours. Then, you need to email the webmaster of that site and ask them to link back to you. It helps if you have already placed a link from your site to theirs to show your sincerity. This is called reciprocal linking and helps Google and the other search engines gauge the popularity of your website. The more links you have pointing towards your site, in theory, the higher up the search engine results pages your site will go.
Another proven method of increasing the likelihood that your site will be visited is to write an article related to the subject of your site and post it to the many free articles sites that are out there. You will need to place a link to your site somewhere within the article. The idea is that your articles will be freely available to download for anyone wanting content for their site or blog. When they use your article they have to leave the links intact, so as they get traffic to their sites and their visitors view your article, some of them will click on the link and visit your site too. This method also increases the number of links back to your site and so, you guessed it, further up the search results your site goes.
There are a number of other simple things to remember though when trying to drive more traffic to your websites, and I have included some of them here:
1: Hard work. You are running a business and so you need to work at it. The work I am talking about comes from your marketing efforts but also from developing good quality content for your site. There is no point driving traffic to your site if there is nothing of substance for them to engage with when they arrive. Your visitors will simply leave, having bought nothing and having not clicked on any of your Adsense ads (because the boring nature of your site will be reflected in the boring nature of the Adsense ads served on it).
2: Learn all you can. There are lots of free resources which will tell you everything you need to know (I will tell you about another at the end of this article) to be successful online. There is no need to pay for anything. All the info you need is out there. You just need to know where to look. Beware, if a traffic generation method looks like it is too good to be true, then it probably is. Significant increases in traffic will not materialise overnight, you have to work at it. So, if you are being asked to hand over $97 for the ultimate traffic generation system that promises you will be a millionaire within seven days, I can almost guarantee that it will be a waste of money and that the information contained within the product is out there waiting for you to discover it, for nothing.
3: Find sites that are related to yours and pay particular attention to those which show up on the first two or three pages of the search results for your chosen keywords or search phrase. They are obviously doing something right. Look how the pages are constructed. Look how the articles are constructed. Don't copy them directly, and especially not the content, but make mental notes regarding how you could do things better with your sites.
4: Decide on a strategy for driving traffic to your site and then work hard to achieve it. If you think the best strategy for your site would be to write lots of useful articles which you will give away, then get on and write the articles. Don't dawdle - just do it! Also, don't discount article writing if you think you don't know how to write, there are plenty of people out there who will do this for you for pocket money. Try your local college. Students always need beer money in their pockets. If you can't find a student then look online, try somewhere like Elance.com.
5: Set realistic goals and work hard to achieve them. Don't set yourself too high a target. You will only get demoralised when you don't achieve it.
In point 2 above I said I would tell you about a free resource which will help you with your online marketing efforts. Well, here it is. There is a guy by the name of Harvey Segal and he has done some of the work I talk about above for you by gathering together lots of useful information and re-producing it in e-book form. Some of the information contained within this e-book is simply stunning and if you use it, it will work. What's more this e-book which is called Ultimate Supertips is absolutely free to download and use as much as you want. You don't have to pay a penny. Download Harvey Segal's Ultimate Supertips now! Quick before he decides to charge money for it!

Search Engine Marketing - Tool to Get Success in Online Market
Businesses need to advertise their products and services. Many organisations and individuals list their products and services on their websites as the number of Internet users has been increasing and customers prefer to see the product listing compare prices of various companies on the Internet. This allows the customer to make smart choices without depriving him of the comforts of home. For optimal utilisation of the website, enough traffic should be driven to that particular website. This is done by Internet advertising, an important chunk of which is Search Engine Marketing.
Search engine marketing relates to search engines such as Google, Yahoo, AltaVista, MSN, AOL and Lycos. If the website appears on the first page after searching through a particular search engine, the probability of the Internet user visiting it is more as compared to it appearing on subsequent pages. Search engine marketing increases the chances of the website appearing among the top few with a large range of keywords which in turn increases the number of visitors to the website. There are no set standards for this. Different methods of marketing work for different kinds of offerings.
The most popular way of search engine marketing is search engine optimisation. This includes link baiting where articles and blogs with a lot of keywords that can lead to the website are included. This makes users who get free access to informative stuff visit the website and bring along with them more traffic. Sometimes, web designers add an invisible page to the website or the link with all the relevant keywords. The placement of keywords on the web pages is also significant. Another method that is widely used is pay per click where professionals are made to artificially visit the website and thus attract more public as most search engines return more frequently visited websites. One can also resort to paid advertising on search engines.
The search engines charge the website owners according to the number of visits to their web page. They charge extra for any sales made via search engines. There are professional SEO (Search engine optimizers) available who review the website and make necessary changes in the content as well as the Html coding for optimization and solve indexing issues.
One must ensure that one chooses the SEO according to one's needs and products. A seller of small items must not spend a fortune on marketing as search engine marketing does not guarantee any yields. It can increase the visitors to your website but not necessarily lead to increase in sales. The website owner can monitor results for a period of time and decide accordingly. For better results, the website must be user friendly and must describe all the offerings in detail along with requisite illustrations.
SEM has been widely used all over the world and gives ensures quick visibility for new businesses. One can, however, use it in combination with other Internet advertising forms for optimal results. Once you have mastered the tips of search engine marketing, there is no way to beat you in competition.

Increase Traffic With Squidoo
absolutely loves Squidoo. I have seen Squidoo lenses rank in the top 10 in Google for many keywords. It's not hard to imagine that Squidoo lenses rank in the top 10 for thousands or even hundreds of thousands of keywords.
Since lenses are simple to set up and are 100% free, you should Squidoo, and Squidoo often. Lenses take only a few minutes to set up and require zero technical knowledge.
So, what exactly should you do first?
Well, start by creating a comprehensive list of keywords that you want to target. Your long tail keywords (e.g. 3 or more word phrases) will produce the best results, so instead of focusing on general keywords like "golf", use more specific keywords like "beginners golf tips".
Your keywords are everything, so take your time and do proper keyword research. This will pay off big time when it comes to generating the traffic you are looking for.
Next, create a lens for each of these keywords. Make sure that you post quality content in the lens otherwise you will sacrifice the quality of the traffic that you can get from the lens.
Do a little research on each of your keywords and then write 500 - 700 words on each keyword topic. Make sure your content is super easy to read and informative. Provide value to the reader.
Then you can mention your product or site within the content of you Squidoo lens. Just don't overdo it. It is VERY important that readers of your lens get what they came there for.
Squidoo's motto is "Everyone's An Expert On Something", so the point is to apply this for mutual benefit to you and the reader.
You will also want to make sure that you join some Squidoo groups. A Squidoo group is a collection of lenses and people that share interests. So you can get more traffic from people surfing the groups on your subject.
Squidoo groups get a lot of attention from Google and other users on Squidoo. It only takes a few minutes to find some groups that your lens fits into.
Creating an RSS feed for your lenses is also a good idea. The RSS feed will keep fresh content on your lenses and keep you ranking high for longer periods of time. Not only that, but it will boost exposure to your lens. There is a handy tool on Squidoo to help you do this when you set up your lens.
I also suggest that you make good use of the real estate in your bio box. It is there, so put it to use. That is an easy and perfectly legitimate place to tell others about youself, your website, or anything else you want people to know.
Go ahead and create your first lense to get a feel for Squidoo. Then dig in deep by adding more lenses and watch the free traffic roll in!
Online Marketing Can Ignore The Cellular Phone Market For Now
With cellular operaters and manufactureres doling out application and feature-rich cellphones by the dozen, its small wonder mobile phones have become so multi-faceted.
Going by the studies performed on mobile phone subscriptions alone, it seems natural to presume that mobile phones have a wide reach and can be excellent agents for reaching out to the market audience via SMS marketing or traditional online marketing. Subsriptions have escalated by 24 percent between 2000 and 2008.
However, subscriptions for cellular services do not a web user make. Additionally, markets like Brazil, China, India and Taiwan are the heavyweights in the cellular market. They love using their phones for everything from moblogging to watching TV and playing karaoke.
Hence, while pursuing a Western audience it wouldn't really affect the internet marketing efforts of a business if they went remiss on appealing to the mobile phone user. Online marketing could be even more viable when targetting local audiences in developing countries like the ones mentioned above.
From an internet marketing point of view, adapting and optimizing a website for easy accessibility on a mobile device can attract traffic and can greatly enhance the user-experince. If your corporate website is too heavy for cellphone rendering, it would be a good practice to include a cellular version that is just as attractive.
Consumers like it when they are provided with more options to view their favorite websites. Get to know how you can get one developed for your website with help from Cosmos Creatives.
What is Web 2.0?
by Daniel Lewis
Web 2.0 is what the Web is turning into. It is a revolutionary step forward, including not just what Web sites look like, but methods of interaction, styles of development, and sources of content. This article discusses the Web 2.0 concept and characteristics.
One of the main ideas behind Web 2.0 is usability. Web 2.0 applications tend to look more like desktop applications than Web pages: they have simple interfaces with plain colors and no busy patterns, logos, or animation. Moreover, they provide a richness of interaction previously found only in desktop applications. How is this possible? It's not just talented graphic artists, but perhaps how the applications are developed...
Web 2.0 systems are developed by creative programmers using development frameworks such as Ruby On Rails (for the Ruby programming language) and Django (for the Python programming language), or families of technologies like AJAX. The developers favor dynamic languages because they enable fast development, debugging, and deployment. Compare this to compiled, static languages, which tend to require more time to develop and are more complex to deploy. Dynamic programming languages also allow data and information to flow through the Web system easily, providing dynamic content.
Dynamic content is another important force behind Web 2.0. Information can be gathered from multiple sources in real time and assembled on a single Web page. But where does the information come from? Often users of a site create the content themselves. This comes in many forms, including:
- Blogging, or Web logging, which is like an online diary or news feed.
- Syndication, a concept similar to blogging except that information does not need to be viewed on a Web page.
- Resource sharing, which allows users to share their favorite Web links and other resources using descriptive words called tags. Example systems include del.icio.us and bibsonomy.org.
Similarly, topical information sharing is an open, collaborative approach to content generation that is typical of Web 2.0. The quintessential example of a topical information sharing system is the wiki (pronounced "wick-ee"). Wikis at first glance look like standard Web pages, but if you look carefully, you see that it is possible for any user to edit these pages. The most famous wiki is Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia that anyone can edit or add to.
As Web 2.0 systems emerge and develop, they are bringing desktop programs to the Web, to the point that desktop applications may be replaced by the Internet browser . We can already replace Word with Writely.com and Excel with Google Spreadsheet. We may eventually be able to replace Photoshop or GIMP with Pixoh.com.
There are a few potential problems to look out for though, as Web 2.0 takes shape. Chief among these is the loss of structure that could occur if Web developers focus exclusively on presenting data in human-oriented formats. The data can become messy and unreadable for machine users, hiding important or interesting information and making automation of tasks difficult. But the sheer numbers of Web 2.0 services already available show that it is time to upgrade the system.
For further detail and discussion, Paul Graham presents an interesting review of the technology [2]. There is also a Web 2.0 site that checks to see if other websites could be claimed as Web 2.0 [1]. Or check out an alternative view of Web 2.0 and its possible successor in [4].

Top 10 SEO Mistakes
This is a mistake many people make and what is worse - even experienced SEO experts make it. People choose keywords that in their mind are descriptive of their website but the average users just may not search them. For instance, if you have a relationship site, you might discover that "relationship guide" does not work for you, even though it has the "relationship" keyword, while "dating advice" works like a charm. Choosing the right keywords can make or break your SEO campaign. Even if you are very resourceful, you can't think on your own of all the great keywords but a good keyword suggestion tool, for instance, the Website Keyword Suggestion tool will help you find keywords that are good for your site.
2-Ignoring the Title tag
Leaving the <title> tag empty is also very common. This is one of the most important places to have a keyword, because not only does it help you in optimization but the text in your <title> tag shows in the search results as your page title.
3-A Flash website without a html alternative
Flash might be attractive but not to search engines and users. If you really insist that your site is Flash-based and you want search engines to love it, provide an html version. Here are some more tips for optimizing Flash sites. Search engines don't like Flash sites for a reason - a spider can't read Flash content and therefore can't index it.
4-JavaScript Menus
Using JavaScript for navigation is not bad as long as you understand that search engines do not read JavaScript and build your web pages accordingly. So if you have JavaScript menus you can't do without, you should consider build a sitemap (or putting the links in a noscript tag) so that all your links will be crawlable.
5-Lack of consistency and maintenance
Our friend Rob from Blackwood Productions often encounters clients, who believe that once you optimize a site, it is done foreve. If you want to be successful, you need to permanently optimize your site, keep an eye on the competition and - changes in the ranking algorithms of search engines.
6-Concentrating too much on meta tags
A lot of people seem to think SEO is about getting your meta keywords and description correct! In fact, meta tags are becoming (if not already) a thing of the past. You can create your meta keywords and descriptions but don't except to rank well only because of this.
7-Using only Images for Headings
Many people think that an image looks better than text for headings and menus. Yes, an image can make your site look more distinctive but in terms of SEO images for headings and menus are a big mistake because h2, h2, etc. tags and menu links are important SEO items. If you are afraid that your h1 h2, etc. tags look horrible, try modifying them in a stylesheet or consider this approach: http://www.stopdesign.com/articles/replace_text.
8-Ignoring URLs
Many people underestimate how important a good URL is. Dynamic page names are still very frequent and no keywords in the URL is more a rule than an exception. Yes, it is possible to rank high even without keywords in the URL but all being equal, if you have keywords in the URL (the domain itself, or file names, which are part of the URL), this gives you additional advantage over your competitors. Keywords in URLs are more important for MSN and Yahoo! but even with Google their relative weight is high, so there is no excuse for having keywordless URLs.
9-Backlink spamming
It is a common delusion that it more backlinks are ALWAYS better and because of this web masters resort to link farms, forum/newgroup spam etc., which ultimately could lead to getting their site banned. In fact, what you need are quality backlinks. Here are some more information on The Importance of Backlinks
10-Lack of keywords in the content
Once you focus on your keywords, modify your content and put the keywords wherever it makes sense. It is even better to make them bold or highlight them.

Search Engine Optimization - Its All In The Mind
This is one of the main reasons why search engine optimization is a constantly evolving miasma of concepts. Search engine optimizers and website developers try to get into psyche of the consumer and filter out the manner in which they relate to a particular business. This is one of the most basic methods of researching relevant keywords.
These keywords are then submitted to the search engine for use in the client's website content and any other related online content. This step is very important as the search engine's algorithm or filtering mechanism has to accept the researched keywords and treat them as relevant enough to warrant the website's inclusion in SERP's.
But the work of an SEO is not over once the keyword set is accepted by the search engine. As the algorithms keep changing, so does the list of accepted keywords keep changing. It is a never-ending process and hence the need for professional search engine optimizers is quite important to ensure the long-term success of an organization.

Here A Tag, There A Tag, Everywhere A Tag Tag
It's pretty easy to tag/label an object or person. We've been learning to do it from kindergarten. Pigeon- holing anything and everything there is at your disposal sounds fun. And to an extent it is, though in a positive way. The 1990's introduced the meta element in the world of web development and search engine optimization. These tags proved handy for SEOs, who used them in order to garner higher search engine rankings for their clients, which ultimately resulted in better visibility for their respective websites. When creating meta tags it is important to avoid creating the same meta tags for every page of your website. Meta tags include title meta tags, description meta tags, and keyword meta tags. Of these, the title meta tag is the most important, as it is what visitors to your website will see featured on their browser when on your page. It is also what the search engine picks up when considering the ranking a particular page has to receive.
The description meta tags are not that important, but doesn't hurt to have one; as in a way, it gives a peek to what is on your page. Copy writing it in a dynamic style compels a searcher to accept your website as a search result by clicking on it. The keyword meta tags are the more trickier to create than the other two meta tags. Wrong keywords will tag YOU as a spammer and could lead to penalization. The most used keywords in your page should be the ones that are included in the keyword meta tags for your website.
Each type of meta tags are important in their own way where high search engine rankings are concerned. The right combination of these three meta elements can boost your site to higher rankings and attract more traffic to your website.
At Cosmos Creatives, we understand concepts like these. Our accomplished team of SEO experts apply strategies like these to elevate your website's search engine rankings.
Search Engines, Your Web Page And The Invisible Web.
For a spider to find a web page, the page has to be linked to by another page. If there has been no linking, then another way to bring a web page to the notice of the crawlers is by sending the site URL to search engine companies and requesting them to include the new page into their search. Most search engines operate several spiders at a time.
The next step is indexing, where the pages are sent to another computer program, where links, keywords, etc. play a major role in identifying the relevancy and the relation of a web page to the search. The search engine picks up only pages that are relevant from their database which exists on servers and feature them on search engine results page.
Some pages, however, do not come up in search engine searches. They form that part of the web known as the 'Invisible Web' or 'Deep Web'. In a study, the University of California, Berkeley, estimated that the 'Deep Web' contained approximately 91,000 terabytes of data and 550 billion individual documents. There are reasons why the web spiders cannot access these pages.
One reason can be the problem of them being too inane or irrelevant or badly conceptualized, thus posing the problem of too much clutter. Another reason is the presence of technical barriers where spiders cannot perform by themselves. For instance, pages where access is granted only by typing manually, member's only sites, etc.
At Cosmos Creative Services, our SEO team submits your website using accurate techniques that make it easy for algorithmic crawlers [spiders] to notice and provide links to and ultimately result in being picked up by a search engine quickly.
Brand Recognition And Colors:
The shades used and the contrasts maintained between different shades play a large role in generating a visual impact. Color also helps e-marketers in creating brand awareness for a business. For effective branding it is important to analyze the target market closely.
Research has proved that color used diligently directly affects readership, increasing it by 40 percent. The right blend of emphasized and under-played areas has to be applied when creating a website. The site visitor should know which areas on a web page require more attention with a mere glance.
A month ago, Google had a complete 'black out', i.e. instead of the standard white background and black text, it displayed a reversal of the two colors. The idea behind this was a campaign to raise awareness about an energy conservation event that was held in San Francisco. Google was roped in for the campaign due to its popularity and high visibility. The campaign was a success even though the most basic colors were used.
At Cosmos Creatives we understand the co-relation between colors and a brand. Our team of web designers expertly designs a website using the right colors. A brand promoted by us is a brand that is high in visual impact without losing out on its substance.
Communication Via New Media
The truth is out there, within reach. The question is how we reach it. The new media has got some really interesting tools to come within grasp of the truth. Armed with ammunition like podcasts, blogs, virtual universes, social networks, cell phones, video games and more, the new media has launched an intense campaign to conquer our lives. But the average consumer is not complaining at this intrusion. Education and communication of information has never been more fun with the new media way of interaction. Joe Kraus, the founder of JotSpot, a software producer for wikis comments, "The old media model was: there is one source of truth. The new media model is: there are multiple sources of truth, and we will sort it out".
With the concept of Instant Journalism, conveying news does not require the talents of a news reporter or a journalist any more. The agents of information have changed with free, accessible and instant publishing and broadcasting.
Chris Anderson, editor of 'Wired' magazine comments on the rising popularity of the new media saying, "We are entering an age of cultural richness and abundant choice that we've never seen before in history. Peer production is the most powerful industrial force of our time".
At Cosmos Creatives we keep an eye on the dynamic and constantly evolving world of technology. Our websites and web portals are designed keeping the new media workings in mind. Consumers and clients alike are satisfied with our cleverly designed websites. You can view our work at www.cosmoscreatives.com.

There are many other factors which can be shown. But I gave that as just an example to say that search engine strategies keep changing. Among those changing seo traffic strategies, many tactics took birth like video submissions, web2.0, etc.,
We define search engines will be falling in love with specific tactics seasonally. As they are in, with video submissions now! White Hat And Black Hat:
White hat crackers on the other hand, attepmt to use their knowledge for improving the security or repairing any flaws. Because of the nature of their work, both these groups are generally referred to as hackers.
In e-marketing circles, black hat and white hat are terms that are used to define the nature of the search engine optimization techniques that are used. Black hat SEO techniques usually involve methods that cause search engine algorithms into catapulting a page higher in the page rank listings.
Hidden text and links, text that is similar to the background, pages that are different from the ones submitted to the search engine, etc. are all techniques that come under black hat SEO. Site reviews and search engine algorithms sieve out such websites and either penalize them or push them lower in the page rank.
