The use of technology tools and electronic resources in the math classroom seem like such a natural fit but finding appropriate applications of technology has always been a challenge in the K-12 classroom. We know that our students need technological skills to succeed in the 21st century and the ability to apply the key concepts outlined in our state math standards. CTAP IV is making connections between math and technology through this project.
Technology Resources for the Middle School Math Classroom
- Math Matrices
- A series of online tables of electronic and technology resources supporting California middle school math content standards for grades 6, 7 and Algebra 1. The resources align to the two California state-adopted middle school textbook series of McDougal-Littell and Prentice Hall, and the 6th grade state-adopted Scott-Foresman and Harcourt textbooks.

- Online Graphing Calculators, Resources & Activities for Differentiation in the math classroom.

- Digital Enhancement Resources
- Digitally enhanced text may help students who have difficulty with comprehension or organizing information by embedding supports such as graphics, key questions or links to external websites to scaffold information. Digital text can be read aloud by a computer providing assistance to English Language Learners by seeing and hearing words together.

- Resources for using Presentation Software (Keynote & PowerPoint) in the math classroom for teaching and learning.
- Video Resources - Middle School Math
- Teachers can use video to enhance the learning, provide another voice and way to deliver new content, practice and reinforce learning. Students can use video to demonstrate their understanding, express ideas, and create authentic products.
