John Thank you for pointing us in the direction toward a good track on which to run the race... and for the experienced training advice. I'm still a colt, but look forward to working with my trainer and one day stepping on the track to "run for the roses". Cafepress has obviously been a good tool for you, so I look forward to learning how to use it and having it in my toolbox along with any other good tool I can find.

    Welcome new CafePress shop owners!

I love CafePress, but I also realize that there is a lot of competition for attention and sales there. I don't think you should depend upon CafePress to do your promotion and marketing.

Instead, it's up to you to promote your shops and the items in it.

Create new lenses specifically targeted to a single design and write about the topic of the design and why you like it so much. Educate us on your viewpoint and you'll attract visitors who are interested in the same subject.

Some of them may become customers.

Blog about your designs. Enter them in contests. Make it easy for people to help you promote your designs.

Be sure to enter your shop in the list, above, and then reload the page and vote for it! The more votes your shop gets, the higher it rises in the list.

You can vote for other shops you like, too. Don't be stingy; spread the love.

    Act on your dream!

    JD
