Callaway Big Bertha Review

Thinking about buying a Big Bertha? Then you might want to read this Big Bertha review. I am an avid golfer and would like to consider myself a pretty good golfer. Although I am not a golf pro, I have been golfing for 17 years now, so I think I have enough credit to give an accurate Big Bertha review. I normally shoot in the low to mid 80's on a fairly regular basis. I have used different brands of clubs, most recently Wilson. This spring I switched to Callaway because I wasn't seeing the results in my handicap that I was hoping to. I got rid of all my Wilson clubs and bought the Big Bertha Diablo. These clubs are truly AMAZING! The Wilson's I were using were not forgiving at all. The forgiveness of the Callaway Big Bertha is incredible! I was a little nervous about getting the matching SW & LW due to the offset, but I'm glad I did. Upon switching to the Callaway Big Bertha I am hitting more greens in regulation, my drives are longer and straighter, and my bunker play and short game have improved 3 fold. In summary, my Big Bertha review is that if you are on the fence about switching to Big Bertha, you need to make the switch. If you haven't considered switching, you need to seriously consider it.

A little about Big Bertha.
Since 1991, Big Bertha Drivers have prevailed in particularly forgiving clubs that the average handicapped golfer have sworn by. Now, with the Big Bertha Diablo, Callaway is looking to include the highly skilled players also. This three-piece all titanium club head fuses a lively clubface and a thin crown (Callaway's thinnest at .027") to a light, strong body. The light frame enables discretionary weight (a 10-gram internal weight chip in the Neutral head; a 15-gram chip in the Draw version) to be welded into the rear, which adds to a higher moment of inertia and an exact center of gravity placement. A more aggressive head shape used than in previous designs, steers the center of gravity to neutral or draw locations. All-in-all, the moment of inertia in the Diablo Neutral is 20% (10% in the Draw version) higher than the Big Bertha 460 driver.
Its hyperbolic face, which is thicker in the center, thinner around the outside edge, works with the more stable head to deliver faster ball speeds on off-center hits than Callaway's previous titanium drivers.
