A typical bounty hunt begins with a call from a bail bondsman. After the call, the bounty hunter then goes to the bondsman's office and gets a power of attorney, which gives him/her the authority to arrest the suspect on behalf of the bail bondsman. At this time, the bounty hunter will also collect personal information on the accused, such as Social Security number, date of birth and car make and model which that person drives.

After the bounty hunter has all that information, they will start looking for people that will help them find their skip.
