Three Ways to Cancel Your AOL Account

  To cancel by phone, call their Member Services Representatives at
  1-800-827-6364 or
  1-888-265-8008.
  
  Expect to spend some time on hold and maybe a voice with a thick indian accent.
  
  You may get a voice recognition system and you can say the word "Cancellation".
  Then when you get the Live attendant, they will ask you why you are canceling. Don't give them any details other than saying "I don't like it."
  And you can nip their next question in the bud and say,
  "No thank you, I'm not going to get high speed internet."

  To cancel by fax, fax your request to 1-800-622-7969

  If you choose to write or fax, be sure to include in your cancellation request, your full name, address, phone number and your AOL master screen name (the user name on your account)
  
  Also include the last four digits of the current-payment method use for your account. (Only the last four digits).
  
  Or you can provide the answer to your Privacy Question if you have one already established.
