Canon PowerShot A550

The Canon PowerShot A550 was first introduced in January of 2007 and subsequently released the following month. It has many design features reminiscent of past Cannon models but is now even easier to use. With its automatic modes and basic features, it should attract many first-timers as there are very few digital cameras that offer the same options and features at such a low price.

The PowerShot A550 Digital Camera features 7.1 Megapixels, 4x optical zoom, 2.0" LCD screen and a High-speed ISO 800 for flash-free shooting indoors. It currently retails for around $199.

Nice lens. The Canon Powershot series are the best. I had an A620 and now an A630. My favorite features are the swivel LCD screen - invaluable, and also the auto rotation, so that if you view images taken sideways in a compatible viewer, the image will rotate on the screen, saving you having to keep turning your head.
