Canon Powershot Digital Elph Camera Series Review

Shopping For A Digital Camera?

The Canon PowerShot Digital Elph

Shopping For A Digital Camera?

Canon PowerShot Digital Elph (SD series)

It can be confusing trying to find the best new digital camera with so many to choose from.

We have been investigating top digital cameras on the market for this year, and after careful research. We have chosen the Canon PowerShot Digital Elph (SD series) as the best value in pocket size digital cameras. Canon offers many models the Digital Elph from a modest 2 to an amazing 12.1 mega pixels!!

Why do we like the Canon Digital Elph? First we feel it's the best camera in it's price range and with the excellent track record of Canon optics you can rest assured you are getting a well constructed, user friendly product.

The camera is small enough to easily fit into a purse or deep pocket which makes it great for those unexpected photo opportunities.

In addition we have been very pleased with the high-resolution LCD Monitor which offers a sharp clear image on a well designed screen. The quality and clarity of the pictures taken in various lighting situations has been nothing short of impressive. The easy to learn controls with the Digital Elph and PowerShot series quickly become second nature after a little practice with the camera.

We do however highly recommend getting a larger memory card that is offered with most of the cameras in this series, for instance the SD 1000 comes with a 32 MB card which only holds around 9 photo's on the highest resolution setting. .

The supported memory cards are secure digital, multimedia cards, and the higher capacity SDHC format. A 1GB or 2 GB memory card (see comparison below) is generally quite affordable, If you are willing to spend a little more for a high speed (60x or faster) memory card it is not a bad idea.

Please feel free to compare the various models of the Canon Powershot Digital Elph series and read user reviews below. If you purchase one of these great little camera's please leave a comment telling us about your experiance.
