    Great lens. Thanks for the info.

    I had no idea that notebooks used so much more energy than desktop PCs - although when you consider how hot they get, I suppose that it shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

    If you renovate and must replace gas boilers, consider switching to a cogeneration unit. Besides reducing CO2 by some 35% it can give you emergency heat and power if you have an inverter for your car or a small generator, or if you know how else to hack it.
