This isn't just about business.  Allie and I are here to share our experiences, our successes and our failures.  We believe that people are generally good in nature and we want to do everything we can to help people achieve their hopes and dreams.

I once heard a quote, "People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care."  Well, we really do care...

Send Out Cards

Changing the world, one card at a time.

What can I say? Here's a company that makes it so easy to show other people that you care. The best way for you to understand is to experience it for yourself. The second best way is to learn how we found SOC.

Allie and I had been with a NWM (even though they don't like to think of themselves that way) for about 2 years. Do to the fact that we were never really comfortable with the foundation of the company; we never really had much success. That is not to say we did not learn a lot.

In February of 2005 I was introduced to SOC by a good friend from the Richdad.com forum. Allie and I were having a rough few weeks, so I decided to send her a card. Well the moment she got it she called me thanking me. Telling me how it was exactly what she needed. It was then that I knew that there was something special about this company. To this day, over a year later I still send her the occasional card, to brighten her day.

Now it's your turn, let me help you make your own story.

The Secret and The Law of Attraction

Some of you might have heard of a movie called The Secret. I know that everyonce in a while a free version pops up on Google. I do not condone people watching this illegal copy, but I have to admit if I hadn't begun watching it there, I never would have purchased a copy on DVD.

However I found it, I am very glad that I did. It has had such a powerful effect on me. I've included a link above that will take you to the website. I highly recommend you watch the Free trailer, to see it for yourself.

I am sure that once you watch the trailer you will want to pay the $4.95 to watch the whole movie on-line. I make no money from referring you to this site what so ever.

After I watched this movie, I felt a desire to learn more about the Law of Attraction (LOA). There are a lot of people out there who teach it's philosophy. Jerry and Esther Hicks, James Ray, Bob Proctor, and Michael Losier just to name a few.

Do a google search for any of these names, they all have weekly e-zines that are just full of useful and inspirational information. I honestly cannot see myself going back to living the way I was before I was introduced to the LOA.

So check out the site for The Secret and over time I will share some information I receive from the different e-zine I subscribe to. For you podcasters out there definately check out the podcast of Dr. Wayne Dyer over on Hayhouseradio.com. He too is a brilliant man.

Livestrong Challenge

Philadelphia

Through out this journey Allie and I have been on, it has been important to keep goals in place to help keep you motivated. It is also important to change it up everyonce in a while. For me the weight has just not been coming off like I would like, so the weekly and monthly goals were just not doing it anymore.

Lately I had been talking about participating in a 5K in September, but I never got the courage to actually sign up. Until today!! I am proud to say that I am now officially signed up to run in the Livestrong Challenge on September 10th, in Philadelphia (actually Blue Bell)benefiting the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

This challenge actually holds tow purposes for me. First cancer has hit my family repeatedly, Allie being a survivor of cervical cancer, and my grandmother just recently being diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer (don't worry she's tough and she is beating it). Her prognosis is very good. Secondly, this challenge gives me a goal to work towards. At 272 pounds there was no way I could run this race. Now at 240, and hopefully much less by then, it is a reality.

I'm also doing this for all the people out there, who think that they could never do something like this. 1 year ago I never would have thought to attempt something like this. If someone who once was fat and lazy can do this, then so can you. So please click on my link below and help me reach my fundraising goal. Anything you can afford is greatly appreciated.

Remeber it is not about the numbers, but how you feel.

The Charles Schultz Philosophy

A friend of mine steered this my way.... Thanks Dan

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail straight through and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.

Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life.

"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." (Charles Schultz)

Started reading this about a month ago. It is pretty easy read. There are a lot of good messages in it. Nothing earth shattering, but it is informative.
