Kids and cats are inseparable. But what can start out with a bit of play can easily turn into tears, and unfortunately this can turn into a pattern of behavior. Sometimes when a cat bites and scratches it's just play fighting and might not of been trained properly when it was a kitten.

If your cat is not using it's box consistantly, it's probably because it needs cleaned, or perhaps an unscented litter might be preferred. Find a quiet out of the way, yet convenient location for the box, making it private and simple for your cat.
