Debate has been raging about whether you can stop cellulite. While the evidence isn't conclusive experts generally have some advice that may help you lower you risk of developing the condition.

- Dry Skin Brushing: one school of thought is that cellulite is caused by toxins in the fat cell beneath the skin that stop the cells from dissipating. By using a special brush massage the skin it is thought that you will loosen these toxins and help the body to breakdown the fat cells. You should do this twice a day for maximum results for about 5 minutes. It may take awhile to see results.

- Diet: what you eat can affected cellulite. You should eat foods that are high in antioxidants like dark green leafy vegetables, tomatoes and berries. You could also start taking supplements of Omega 3.

- Smoking and Alcohol: cellulite is correlated with smoking. Same with alcohol.

- Tight Underwear: believe it or not, it is thought that tight underwear can contribute to cellulite by stopping the blood flow to the essential areas.

- Move Around: this is related to the tight underwear syndrome. Staying sitting or standing for longer periods can increase you risk of cellulite. Keep moving about.

- Tanning: the darker you skin the less likely you are to see the dimples. However, don't get a real suntan as the sun can damage the actual skin and its elasticity. Instead get a fake one.
