I've compiled a list of over 50 of the Top Squidoo Charities. Support a cause you believe in, because you CAN make a difference!
The Power Of Squidoo
5 Ways You Can "Change the World"
- Create a lens for Charity. What's so amazing about Squidoo is that you can raise money for charity for FREE. Have you always wanted to support the ASPCA or Save the Children? Now you can. Challenge yourself to build one lens per month and see how much money you can raise.
- There is power in numbers. Think about it. If you raise $5 per month for charity that's $60 per year. If 1,000 people raise $5 per month for charity that's $60,000 per year! By being part of that 1,000 people you helped change the world!
- Got a favorite charity? Start a Charity Challenge. Ask your friends and family to create a lens for your favorite charity and see how much money you can raise in one year!
- In college? Start a class project. Pick a charity and have your classmates create a lens. See how many people you can get to participate. Post what you raised online so everyone can see!
- In the work place? Many companies sponsor things like the American Heart Association Walk. Create a lens and document your fund raising progress. Make it fun...people can leave each other encouraging messages in the Guestbook or start a poll!
The Inspiration For This Lens...
Lensmaster chef keem asked me if I had a lens..."About what people do to cope with corporate and greedy government abuse. How they take matters in their own hands and "make lemonade", so to speak. Smalltown businesses, grass roots movements and "good" corporations like Ben & Jerry, etc."
for his latest project. So I took him up on it and decided that the best grass roots movement I could think of was Squidoo! So I created this lens!
Squidoo's One Woman Charity Machine!
You can't mention charity on Squidoo without giving a tribute to Lensmaster Comfortdoc other wise know as Kirsti A. Dyer MD, MS, FT. Kirsti is a huge inspiration to the Squidoo Community so check out her very impressive Lensography. Several of her lenses are also featured on this lens! The SquidAid Responders
SquidAid Responders are the Squidoo Lensmasters who responded to the call to aid the survivors of disasters. All Squidoo Lensmasters are encouraged to become SquidAid Responders by make new lenses or modify existing lenses and choose the royalty option as the Squidoo Charity fund.
By choosing the Squidoo Charity Fund the lens will generate royalties for the Squidoo Charity Fund potentially for the life of the lens.
Some of the Lensmasters who contributed to SquidAid are AtHomeSource, awelldressedbullet, dougeby, GypsyPirate, KimGiancaterino, katiyana, Loyalis, rms and SemperFidelis.
