A step by step instruction on how to change a tire.
How to Change a Tire
1. All vehicles today should be well equipped with a car jack and a ire iron hidden in the trunk or a compartment in the back. You should read your car manual to find out where these two pieces of equipment are located.
2. Once you have found the car jack and tire iron, locate the specific spot under your car where your personal car jack fits into place. You should make sure that you find the spot where your flat tire is located.
3. Always loosen the lug nuts on the tire you are about to change before you start jacking up your car. You would turn your tire iron counter clockwise just enough to loosen the lug nuts so that the lug nuts would come off easier when you jack the car up.
4. Start jacking your car up until the tire is about one to two inches off of the ground.
5. Start taking off every lug nut that you started to loosen earlier. You can also remove the flat tire from the car and put on your spare tire all with in this same step.
6. Put all your lug nuts back on and turn your tire iron clock wise to make sure your tire is on tightly. Start jacking your car back down until all of the weight of car is on the tire.
7. Use the tire iron to fully tighten each one of the lug nuts on your tire. Use as much force as you possibly can to make sure the nuts are tighten.
All of these steps should help and teach you how to change a flat tire. The next time you get a flat tire, you now have the proper knowledge to do it yourself.
