An advantage of charter flights is the ability to operate on routes that cannot support a scheduled carrier. Thus, making use of small and medium-sized airports allows service in areas that otherwise, would have none.

Check over charter companies on the Internet. You will most certainly find one that suits your needs, at a very reasonable price. However, before you commit yourself financially, do a little research and educate yourself on a few things. How are the pilots trained? Is the flight crew approved by ARG/US? How are the aircraft serviced, and who performs the maintenance on those planes? Make sure you look into the company's safety record, as well. You do have the right to know this information, so do not be timid about asking questions.

One last thing to investigate is company security. If there is a drawback to dealing with a charter service, it's that some have closed their doors unexpectedly. This can leave customers stranded, without recompense. Still, if you find the company to be sound, booking a charter flight can provide you with a comfortable, private means of transportation. On top of that, small groups can fly on their own timeline, as flights can be booked 24-hours a day, 365-days a year, making chartered flights extremely convenient.
