How to Check HTML Code Before Posting to Website

This is a quick tutorial for those of you who want to know what your code looks like before you post to your website.

This is a good way to check for errors, etc.

Open up notepad and copy your affiliate links into it.

So your coding will look like this example:

----------------------------------------------------------
< a href="http://www.myspace.com/entrepreneurlifestyles" target="_top">Entrepreneur LifeStyles - Click Here!< /a >
< p >
< a href="http://www.directmatches.com/CraigPeri" target="_top">DirectMatches - Click Here!< /a >
----------------------------------------------------------

Now save your code as mywebsites.txt

We are now going to USE the Hypertxt Application extension.

hta=Hypertxt Application. This allows you to view your website links without the need of an Internet Explorer Browser and opens in it's own window.

Rename mywebsites.txt to mywebsites.hta

A message box pops up saying:

==================================================================

If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable.

Are you sure you want to change it.

==================================================================

CLICK "YES"

Now click on your mywebsites.hta to view.

This is how your website will look.

After you have finished rename it back to mywebsites.txt

Again you will see the following message:

==================================================================

If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable.

Are you sure you want to change it.

==================================================================

Again CLICK "YES"

You can now play and edit your mywebsites.txt at anytime and test how it will look by renaming it back to mywebsites.hta

Once you are happy with testing save it back to mywebsites.txt

Copy your code from mywebsites.txt to your website.

============================================================
For those of you in MySpace or Direct Matches Paste Code in the following places.
============================================================
In DirectMatches this code goes into your "NEWS"..."MANAGE"

You will see where to add it...then it has to be approved by DirectMatches Administration before it is posted to your profile.

In MySPace...your links can be added to either..."About ME" or "People I would like to meet."
============================================================

Hope this tutorial has been a BIG HELP!

Kindest regards & Respects
