Why Chemotherapy Causes Hair Loss
Hair naturally grows rapidly and those fast growing cells in our hair follicles are the very cells targeted by chemotherapy drugs because cancer cells also grow rapidly. Some cancer patients notice the first bits of hair loss after a few days and others may retain their full head of hair for a couple weeks.

If you are receiving any of these drugs you will likely temporarily lose your hair: Adriamycin, Cyclophosphamide, Danorubicin, Docetaxel (Taxotere), Epirubicin, Etoposide, Ifosphamide, Irinotecan, Paclitaxel, Topotecan.
