CherryPal is a new generation of desktop/laptop computers.

Max Seybold, Founder and CEO of CherryPal headquartered in Mountain View, CA, was finally sick and tired of fixing his PC every weekend and didn't want to spend the thousand dollars buying a Mac. Why can't there be a computer that doesn't require frequent downloads and updates, doesn't cost a thousand dollars, and consumes less energy?

He decided to get a team together to create such a product, CherryPal.

Freescale, previously Motorola's semiconductor division, used to supply Apple computers with "power architecture" processors before Apple switched to Intel chips. CherryPal utilizes Freescale's latest "power architecture" processors.

CherryPal is Freescale's "next Apple" with a completely different brand identity; inexpensive, green, easy to use, fast and community based.

Down the road since these computers are so affordable, we hope CherryPals will be used for educational purposes, and to assist the development of underdeveloped countries.

If we could decrease the consumption of power of a personal computer, where else can we decrease energy consumption.
