How TravelSprouts was Born
I am the father of 10 year old twins (Boy/Girl). I love spending time with my kids and have started a business called Travelsprouts because of a vacation we took to Disneyland. I made ID Cards for them that had our contact information as well as the hotel information on it that I had them carry with them in the park. It also had my cell number on it so if we got separated, they could go to one of the park employees and tell them how to contact me. Fortunatly, we didn't need the cards but I began to think that other parents would like this idea as well so.... www.travelsprouts.com was born....

Why It's Important to Have IDs for Your Children.
If a situation occurs during outtings, vacations, or any time your family is away from home and you become seperated from your child, it is vital that ID cards carried by you and your child have valid contact information which will enable you to be reunited as soon as possible when you child tells a Trusted Adult they are lost.
Having different IDs for different situations is a great idea.
TravelSprouts IDs allow you to create any kind of Child ID for any reason.
Having different IDs for different situations is a great idea.
- An ID for everyday use that includes your home contact information.
- A temporary ID for School Events like field trips and school outtings that include the contact information of the responsible adult the child is with.
- A temporary ID for Vacations that include the mobile contact information for parents and the location or hotel the family is staying at.
TravelSprouts IDs allow you to create any kind of Child ID for any reason.
What should my Family know about using a TravelSprouts ID?
You should teach your child how to use their TravelSprouts ID and what to do if they become seperated from you or the responsible adult that is in charge of the outting.
Instruct your child to find a Trusted Adult and inform them they are lost. Have them show their TravelSprouts ID so that you or the responsible adult in charge may be contacted and notified where they are and that they are safe.
Teach you children who they can consider to be a Trusted Adult.
For example: If your family is visiting a Theme Park, instruct your child to find a security guard or a working employee of the park. Instruct them not to talk with other visitors of the park. While many people may be willing to help, your child should only seek the help from someone who works at the theme park.

- This is a great idea. I would probably omit the address, though, in case the card gets lost. My step-son is old enough to carry a cell phone now, but we make him memorize our phone numbers since he forgets his phone from time to time).
