Childrens Digital Cameras
Ranked #15,717 in Hobbies, Games & Toys, #248,139 overall
Say Cheese....
Childrens digital cameras offer many advantages, the main one being that you get to keep your own camera for yourself! Other than that they make kids feel very proud of themself when they are able to capture their own images. My boys always have to take their cameras on holidays or day trips. They have had them a year now and I can safely say that they were one of the best xmas present that they got last year.
In this lens, I offer information on the different V Tech childrens digital cameras available. You may ask why do I only include V Tech cameras on this lens ? It's a fair question - because they have much better reviews than any other childrens digital cameras and I know first hand how good they are. I have a friend who's son has the Fisher Price one and the quality of the images and the fact that it drains batteries don't make it as good as the V Tech kidizoom.
Here you will also find things to look out for when choosing your childrens digital's cameras. The best help that you can get when making this decision is from children that have had first hand experience with using them. 2 very important little boys, Harry and Sam, offer their own review on their V tech camera.

V Tech Camera - My View - as a Mom

They are extremely durable, ours have been dropped on concrete, accidentally stood on and even had a tumble down stairs and still they work just as good as the day we got them. The big buttons make it really easy for little fingers to operate.
It is not only a children's camera, there are also some games on there for your children to have fun with, making it a great toy for the back of the car or even a visit to the doctors (keeps them entertained in the waiting room!).
One of my favourite parts of the V Tech Camera is the editing function - you can take a picture of someone and then in a few clicks insert some elephant ears or an alligator nose on them - its hilarious!
At the end of a day jam packed with childrens photography its great to sit down and take a sneek peek of what they have taken photos of. At one time Sam had an obsession with shoes, everyone who walked past us would get their shoes on camera. Harry goes for the photos of animals and scenery and funny things he sees on his travels. At various parts of the day they take photos of their Dad or me so that they can convert us into an animal or add a parrot to our shoulder - charming!

Bonus! Games included.

There are even 3 games on the V Tech Camera.
The first one is noughts and crosses with star fish and shells.
The second game (Sam's favourite) is matching pairs where you have to find 2 images the same.
The third game (Harry's favourite) is where you can juggle up one of the images that you have taken. It's scrambled into lots of jigsaw pieces and then you have to put the jigsaw back together. So you can see yourself in lots of little pieces,

They can learn a lot from a young age. My children are grown but my grand daughter will likely have camera before she turns 3.

- These look wonderful! I wish my kiddos had these when they were younger. My two teens just got digital ones for Christmas. Kids can be so creative with cameras - the kids (even the 8 year old) love to take pictures and videos with my camera. They have created stories, movies, and learned many things with them! *Angel Blessed* =D

- I think this is an adorable lens with your boys. They are great and really showed the value of the cameras. They really know how to use them too. What video camera did you use-it was a very video.
Thumbs up

- Hi Samcrenshaw, I have had a look at that link and can't find the kids sony cameras. I don't really know about those to be honest. What I do know is that with the V Tech Kidizoom featured here there is no problem of it breaking - my youngests has been down stairs, dropped on hard tile floors and even fell off the top of a slide. It still works and looks as good as new - they are so tough - you can probably tell I am a big V Tech fan. Thanks for the visit :)

- Hayley do you know anything about any of the new Sony cameras for kids? I'm not too sure if they actually would be something I should invest in - incase they break. I found some reviews on http://www.digitalcamerareviews2011.com but I'm unsure if they are for kids? Can you point me into that direction if you know?
