Chocolate Meditation
It is a meditation you can do in the time it takes to eat a piece of chocolate.
It is a meditation that I truly believe you will want to do over and over again.
It involves a simple ritual that you can perform almost anywhere.
All you need is a piece of chocolate.
I first experienced meditating with chocolate at a Huna Healing Circle in Hawaii, held by Bev Brody. We did it with those little chocolate M&M's. This meditation was inspired from that evening. The Huna philosophy as taught to us by Serge Kahili King has a saying: "If it works, it's Huna." If you can find a way anything can be used as a tool for healing.
If chocolate is not your medium of enjoyment then be flexible and substitute something else. Anything that brings you pleasure will work. This meditation will help you to savor and be more mindful of what you eat or drink.
Meditation helps to calm and relax you. When you are relaxed you are open to inspiration and healing. Chocolate Therapy might just be what you need.
A Chocolate Meditation
1. Awareness: Hold a piece of chocolate, take a deep breath. and bless it, expect the best. Do not eat it yet.2. Release: Let go of any guilt and be free to immerse yourself into this experience. But do not eat the chocolate yet.
3. Focus: Think of something that you would like to heal or manifest. Do not eat the chocolate yet.
4. Be Present: Experience the chocolate with all of your senses. Take it out of its wrapper, break the chocolate. Listen to the sound this makes. Hold it up to your nose and smell it. Is it fruity, flowery? Does it smell like the woodlands or of spice? Feel the chocolate and the weight of it in your hands. Is it sticky, grainy, sandy, or velvety? Is it crisp or crunchy? Look at its shape and color and see if it is smooth or shiny. Do not eat the chocolate yet.
5. Love: Now very mindfully take a small bite of your chocolate. You may want to close your eyes. Break it off into a few small pieces in your mouth and chew for a few seconds. Experience the pleasure of it as you move it around in your mouth. Then stop and let it slowly melt on your tongue so that all of the flavors are released. How intense is the flavor? Does it linger? Do you taste sweetness, bitterness, sourness or acidity? Is it salty? Pay attention to the sensations you are feeling at this moment.
6. Power: The chocolate has been absorbed and is now a part of you. Go within and notice what thoughts come into your mind. Check to see how you feel. Savor this feeling. Take this feeling and energize your thoughts about what you want to manifest. Remember this feeling so that you can call upon it again.
7. Effectiveness: .This meditation is completed when you have finished your piece of chocolate. You may want to repeat this meditation with a different kind of chocolate or with a new intent.

- I only like White Chocolate, but I have never associated chocolate with meditation before. What a great way to get two wonderful things working together. Chocolate Therapy sounds like something almost everyone would enjoy. *SquidAngel Blessing*
