Chris Farley

 

Chris Farley was born on February 15, 1964, and was raised in Madison, Wisconsin.  Chris studied theatre and communications at Marquette University. 


Chris later worked as a member of the Second City Theatre where he was discovered by Lorne Michaels, the producer of Saturday Night Live. 


Chris worked on SNL for five years and during this time he acted in such hit movies as Wayne's World, The Coneheads, Billy Madison, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep and American Ninja.


Sadly, Chris followed the footsteps of another famous Saturday Night Live member, John Belushi.  At the age of 33, Chris died of an accidental overdose caused by an opiate and cocaine intoxication.

Three things you may not have known about Chris Farley 

1.) Chris worked with his father after he graduated from college for a year, at Scotch Oil Company in Madison.

2.) Chris was honored after his death by a star on the Hollywood walk of Fame, in front of the Improv Olympic West Theater that he used to perform at. The award was accepted by his mother, Mary Ann Farley.

3.) Chris lived next door to the talk show host Jerry Springer, on the 60th floor of the Hancock apartments at the time of his death.

Christopher Crosby "Chris" Farley (February 15, 1964 - December 18, 1997) was an American comedian and actor. He was a member at Chicago's Second City TheatreThe Second City: Chicago Alumni and later went on to the cast of the American sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. He starred in a string of successful comedic films in the 1990s before his sudden death of a drug overdose in late 1997.
